Re: Automatically copy from USB to Pi

Well if you want it need it automated maybe you could have a copy.pys script to automatically coppy the files over. I think that the .pys means that it will run silently (correct me if im wrong) And maybe you could have it start up on boot up ( http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=...

Unfortunately ssh only allows terminal access. There is no way to remotely access the GUI (graphical user interface) from ssh. Read the question again! Re: Wireless Security Cameras

well ip cameras are actually web cams with servers on them to host the live camera feed. So if you are using pi camera modules or web cam you will need to keep the raspberry pi attached to them as the pi acts as the server. You could use some software called motion which creates a little web server ...

Re: Advice for my business

Well you could use a programming language such as python to store the data in a csv file. However although you could easily make a program so that the user typed it into the command interface, im not sure if that would be particularly user friendly.

Re: php accsess /dev/mem to controll gpio

But in order to execute python scripts with gpio control you need root or sudo. However php can not do this. It's not a matter of php, it's a matter of user access. www-data is not a sudoer. You can add it to sudoers (and this works), but that's not a big idea, security speaking (even if, for sure,...

Re: WiFi Dongle Driver Installlation

For most usb dongles you do not need drivers. This solution works for every one i have shown it. Therefor if i were you i would try it out before going to the difficulty of installing drivers because most likely it wont need it. However this might not be the case for you. Also by googling this dongl...

this is very long winded approach to things. I presume you have internet (web server) Use FILE TRANSFER PROTACLE ftp. And use filezilla to accsess your pi and copy files across.

Press shift on boot and re configure. Unless there is a way to run raspi-config from the boot config? Then that won't help unless the entire OS is wiped and re-installed. (I haven't run NOOBS for a long time so don't know if something has changed) Setting boot to Scratch puts you in a seemingly end...

Are there any other webservers running on your network?
