Re: NodeJS module for the PiTFT

I've updated my Node.js library for the Adafruit PiTFT (https://www.npmjs.com/package/pitft). It had a serious bug which would cause a memory leak.

Node.js project for pushing camera images to browsers

I've created a little Node.js project called socketcam . It uses the Socket.IO library (http://socket.io/) to push images from the Raspberry Pi camera module, to your browser. The project is very stripped-down, to be as easy to understand as possible. Instructions can be found at https://github.com/...

Re: Reading dials using PiCam

If you had multiple images of the dial at different readings, you could subtract the current image from the stored images, until the difference comes under a certain threshold. This solution requires that the camera is facing the dial from the exact same angle each time.

Nice! It would be interesting to know what resources you used to learn this. Do you have any links?

Re: How to build a local website on pi

You can try this simple one-liner from the command line:

Code: Select all

python -m SimpleHTTPServer 8000
That will start an ad-hoc static HTTP server listening on port 8000, serving the files in the current directory.

Re: 3.2 inch TFT Touchscreen problem

I found this description on a german Raspberry Pi forum: http://www.forum-raspberrypi.de/Thread-3-2-tft-touch-display-ac-tft32-v3-1 It is a bit messy, but the procedure is somewhat familiar, because I've done it before, for my Adafruit PiTFT display You have to install Notro's framebuffer driver. Ac...

NodeJS module for the PiTFT

I have written a small NodeJS module for the Adafruit PiTFT family of displays for the Raspberry Pi. With it, you can draw lines, circles, rectangles, text and images to your PiTFT from your NodeJS application. I started the project earlier this week, mainly as an exercise to teach myself the art of...

Bridging wlan0 to a dummy interface

This post is a follow-up to http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=52926, but with more details on my initial problem. I want my Raspberry Pi to act as a wireless access point, but with no routing or forwarding to other physical networks, for the sole purpose of connecting to a web s...

Dummy network interface

Hi,

Is it possible to set up dummy network interfaces on the Raspberry Pi?

I have tried this guide for Ubuntu: http://wiki.1tux.org/wiki/Ubuntu/Bridge but got errors during startup telling me that the dummyX-interfaces does not exist.
