you need to insulate and potentially use some form of heater. It depends if you only want thermal data, i mean How do you plan on tracking the balloon? do you want live radio telemetry, GPS? video feed?

Sorry if i missed something, i thought Raspi was about computer science... I mean to program a sensing robot, you have to be able to build a sensing robot first?

FWIW i have a 8gb samsung class10 micro SD waiting to test as soon as my pi arrives as well as a 8gb class 4 as a backup.

figured as much, but I have no interest in mining, I am more concerned with hosting a  DNS server to contribute to decentralized DNS efforts. you know, getting ahead of the inevitable SOPA/PIPA/PCIP/ACTA/UTRS tide.

3-4 Rpi's brambled on corner rails inside a gamecube chassis using the disk lid for access...  PI cubed.... *run's off to CeX....*
