Building modules for RPI 2

Am i missing something but I have driver source code. I try to make it and it says that /lib/modules/`uname -r`/build doesn't exist. I then try installing kernel headers and source and it installs some 3.x version and I am running 4.1.6. Is there a little known trick to get a driver build environmen...

Re: RPI 2 kernel module build

I think the problem is that there is a default SMSC 9500 driver that is part of the booting kernel and I need an updated version of the SMSC driver. I did a 'make menuconfig' and set the SMSC95xx driver to a module. However on boot it loads an older SMSC driver. My usb device needs the later version...

RPI 2 kernel module build

I am trying to build kernel modules on an RPI2. I have the source and compile it. Everytime I try to load it there is a version mismatch. I need to get the correct build directory in [email protected]:/lib/modules/4.1.11-v7+. When I build a module this is what objdump: 01f0 3a696e74 00000000 64657065...

Possible Camera Inputs

I am interested in taking an RS170 analog signal and using the Broadcom to compress and stream the signal. Has anyone tried this? Is there a spec on the camera bus interface that one could use to convert the RS170 to match? Is there a company that is putting various different types of video sensors ...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

I tried this out. It works well. I have a couple of questions: Can I change the resolution to full HD? Can multiple browsers watch the video?
Thx.

running /etc/init.d/motion stop fixed the problem. I know want to capture and encode hd and then stream it out the ethernet port to a multicast address and view it using vlc. I got the Raspberry Pi and the HD camera. I set it up for motion detection according to a link I found. Everything worked. newbie board to buy

I want to try out the HD encoding feature of the rasberry pi. Can someone point me to the links of hardware to buy? I would like to get a Rasp Pi B board with an HD camera attachment.

I know this is a simple question... thanks ahead of time.

Re: Streaming Raspberry Pi Camera H264 into HTML over RTMP

This is an excellent thread. I just wanted to know if anyone has tried streaming the H.264 HD video using transport stream over UDP/IP Multicast. This way it can be played real time by VLC on a PC.

Thanks Again.

Re: H.264 Transport Stream Encoding

It looks like the upcoming camera release will enable an input to the HD encoder. In that case, perhaps one could use one board to encode and the other board to decode.

Thx,

Re: H.264 Transport Stream Encoding

Yes I have. It seems that most posts have to do with attaching a USB encoder, but that doesn't mean the Pi is encoding the stream. It would be interesting to know which ports on the Pi are meant as inputs or could be used as video inputs to the encoder on the Broadcom chip.

H.264 Transport Stream Encoding

We want to hook up an HD source and have the encoded video be transmitted on the network device to VLC running on a laptop. Is that possible?

Thanks
