In my opinion pyglet is the most credible music playing module. To install it in python 3.4: pip install pyglet pip install --upgrade http://pyglet.googlecode.com/archive/tip.zip Then download the latest Alpha for your system from: https://github.com/AVbin/AVbin/downloads Then check the Pyglet docs ...

I'm suggesting that because the method which you recommended was not working as was outlined. I offered an alternative solution which could possibly resolve the issue.

Use codeblocks as an IDE. May be necessary to update g++ (sudo apt-get installdependancies) does the trick.

Re: NOOBS on my netbook??

You could, however would struggle to install it on your netbook. Raspbian is based on an ancient distro called KNOPPIX and knoppix can be installed, or booted live on a netbook. If you want another distro that can be installed via NOOBS it is all possible, Pidora is based on Fedora.

Re: is there any app that can simulate a pc chrome browse?

Yes - Simply 'sudo apt-get install chromium' (Defo works Raspberry Pi)
Alternitively you can install chrome by 'sudo apt-get install google-chrome-stable' (At least this works on other Linux Distros)

Re: Best way to learn Python and Rpi???

If you know C / C++ You really don't need a book you will be able to pick it up quickly as it is a doddle compared to C / C++ . If you know Ruby (Not sure if you do) it is very similar to that. Just get writing Programs it will take you very little time to become comfortable with the language.
