Re: 1st generation iPad as Raspberry monitor

As with all things its probably possible but I think if someone had done this, it would be widely known about in the Pi community - and I've not heard of it or seen anything posted about it You can use an IPad as a remote VNC display over WiFi But would there be any VNC apps for the ancient version...

1st generation iPad as Raspberry monitor

Hi all. I'd like to make something like the icade using my old 1st generation iPad. I surfed the web quite a bit but everything I found required disassembly the iPad and then using and hdmi controller. Being my iPad jaikbroken I was wondering if there is an application that let me use my iPad as a m...

Re: Water sensor for a (deep) well

First of all thanks for the replies. Insurmountable answers seems rather complicated (at least for me) and there is too much risk of getting the speaker wet (the well is not airtight).
CFLanger can you explain please?
Brandon92 seems the best option for now. :)

Water sensor for a (deep) well

Hi all! I would like to use blmy RPI to measure the level of the water in a well that goes down to 14 m. I was thinking about using the hc-sr04 but it seems to be limited in range. What can I use? I need something that alerts me when the water goes below a certain level (let's say when there are jus...

Re: No-ip trouble(s)

Either your router is not set up correctly or your ISP is blocking or your ISP is doing NAT and not giving you a public IP Maybe you got a point. I checked the NAT configurations on the router and set it to "disable NAT and Firewall". My connection stop working (I couldn't access any website -using...

Re: No-ip trouble(s)

So was it working and it stopped working, or it never worked? It worked once. Maybe by accident! Anyway, I'm not able to connect on any port right now (and I changed nothing). Also, opening 80 and 22 to the internet isn't the best security practice. I'd like to step aside security right now a...

No-ip trouble(s)

Hi all I started this topic in order to solve a problem I have since a couple of days. Long story short: I cannot access my RPi through dynamic DNS hosted by NoIp. I followed the steps you can found in almost any guide (such as this one http://raspberrypihelp.net/tutorials/29-raspberry-pi-no-ip-tuto...

WIFI NetGear N300 aka WNA3100

Hi all! I bought a dongle WIFI NetGear N300 with chipset BCM43231 and I connected it to RPi directly. Even though I tried to make it work I got no results. Can you help me? "lsusb" returns: Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0846:9020 NetGear, Inc. WNA3100(v1) Wireless-N 300 [Broadcom BCM43231] while "iwconfig"...

"lsusb" restituisce Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0846:90...
