Re: unable to save nano files when ssh'ing

I usually sudo nano then use F3 and ENTER to save. Then F2 to quit.

Can you emulate/simulate these keys on your Nexus?

Re: Omxplayer- How to install?? [Solved]

Have you read the error in the left window?

It says that you must give 256MB split in order to compile ffmpeg.

Re: VNC - doesn't quite work as it should?

Try this in a terminal:

Code: Select all

cd /home/pi/
makedir .vnc
x11vnc -storepasswd /home/pi/.vnc/passwd
Then reboot your RPi.

Re: Always losing HDMI signal..

Make sure your RPi is not crashing, resulting in a black screen and loss of hdmi signal. - Try with another HDMI cable. - Could also be caused by a faulty/unstable USB Power supply. - Try to add these lines in your config.txt avoid_safe_mode=1 hdmi_pixel_encoding=3 hdmi_drive=2 hdmi_force_hotplug=1

There is a bug with the default master profile.

Create a new one and you'll see the CPU usage dropping down to 15%

Re: CEC turning on the Raspberry Pi

I do that by connecting Pi (micro USB) to a USB output on my TV. Works fine for XBMC on Pi. Do you have to "sudo shutdown -h now" before you turn the TV off? I'm thinking about turning my RPi off when the sleep button on the remote has been pressed. Is it possible to catch such signal through CEC t...

I might be wrong, but it looks like it says 45º (Celsius?) at the beginning of the video.

Or maybe 45º view angle + close up.

Re: VNC - doesn't quite work as it should?

TightVNC Server creates a new desktop when a client connects it. If you want to control the desktop 0, you have to add :0 in its command line. http://www.tightvnc.com/vncserver.1.php I'm using X11VNC instead. http://www.megaleecher.net/Raspberry_Pi_VNC_Setup I had to add -httpport 5900 to get it to ...

Re: 70" Sharp Aquos no video

I'm running a RPi 2 on a 65" Aquos. This is my config.txt regarding the HDMI: gpu_mem=192 disable_overscan=1 hdmi_boost=4 framebuffer_depth=32 framebuffer_ignore_alpha=1 Try to use these settings and let me know if it worked. Don't forget that the RPi will automatically disable the HDMI and switch t...
