Re: TP-Link Archer T2U wifi card with Rpi

This was a huge help! I purchased a TP-Link Archer T2U Nano (v1.8) USB WiFi adapter and based on my research was confident that it would not work as soon as I plugged it in. For anyone who might want some additional context, here's what I did. Granted, the instructions provided above are more autom...

RPi2 VLC error

Need some help with an error i'm receiving with VLC. I have looked this up and people seem to be saying that i need to symlink a few things to get it working. But I want to know if there is another route I should be going as those threads are somewhat old. Here is the error I'm getting: pi@raspberry...

NFS Storage always takes LONG time to mount

I have been scouring the forums to figure out what is causing this issue with both of my rPi's to not mount NFS on boot. It takes sometimes up to a minute for them to mount the NFS shares I have setup on them. I went through every tutorial and none have sped this up. Does anyone know what I can do t...

Re: XBian - Small, Fast, Lightweight XBMC solution

Hey Koenkk, Just logged in to see this whole mess! What is wrong with these people. I hope the developer base doesn't turn this direction for RPi. Thank you so much for all your development. WIll be looking for more updates when they come and hopefully we can get this all resolved ASAP. Missing the ...

Re: Micro-USB Power isn't staying seated! HELP!

Alright, sounds good. I'll probably give this a try tomorrow as I'll be working from home most likely. I'll post pictures before I actually throw power through it and then hopefully...it works! =) I'm going to be using my RPi as a Media Center type application, for now. XBMC works wonderfully on it ...

Re: Micro-USB Power isn't staying seated! HELP!

Thanks for all the responses everyone! I definitely understand how to wire up the GPIO side now. My only remaining question is how to connect the other side to a power source. Any suggestions there? Do I need a particular power source? Does the gnd need to go just a gnd surface? Thanks a lot for the...

Re: Micro-USB Power isn't staying seated! HELP!

That doesn't really show me how to do it...I'm not an electrical engineer, so not sure what to do with the information. Has anyone supplied power via GPIO in an easy-to-do fashion? My RPi is simply not powering on via micro-usb anymore unless I have it in a very very specific way, which sucks becaus...

Micro-USB Power isn't staying seated! HELP!

Hi all, I've been noticing this for sometime now but haven't gotten around to posting about it. I'm having issues with my RaspberryPi's micro-usb port for it's power. When I plug it in it doesn't seat correctly so I have to wiggle it around and wait for the LEDs to bump on. I've tried this with seve...

Re: Crackly audio through 3.5mm jack

Hey Guys. I'm getting the crackling audio while using hdmi video out and 3.5mm audio out. I have to use this because the TV i'm using doesn't have HDMI in(it's an old TV). I'm using OpenELEC XBMC and have noticed it all the time. It seems like it might be a software issue as you stated above. Hopefu...

I got a kernel panic when booting into the system for the first time. How do you go about restarting the machine correctly when it's in a kernel panic?! Just unplug? I guess my wireless keyboard & mouse aren't working properly with this setup...woops. I'll have to get a normal usb mouse/keyboard.

I'll be testing it out soon! Thanks for helping me lo...
