Re: Problem with TP-Link TL-WN722N

Yep, I've replaced the cable twice. My hub is D-Link with good cable, but I've used the other one - the same result.

Re: USB WiFi (and other) issues

Okay, I am posting the follow up (as promised), I'll duplicate it in my thread too. Therefore, I've build the installation with BeagleBone using ArchLinux, same D-Link powered hub, and made a configuration (hostapd, iptables), installed my custom script for keeping up the connection. Afterwards, I w...

Re: Problem with TP-Link TL-WN722N

To m: you know, I've done such kind of tests, still nothing, rock solid. Scanning the logs, looks like the problem happens when a new device comes, or goes away, or doing something like going out of range. The WiFi is the only thing having unpredictable behavior of second point, e.g. the user. IMHO ...

Re: Problem with TP-Link TL-WN722N

Yep, and by the way, other RPi with E398 Huawei LTE modem is looking rock solid for now, works in tandem with TP Link wireless AP, providing Internet ppp0 <-> eth0, still no issues.

Re: Problem with TP-Link TL-WN722N

To Eric: nope, I haven't found the adapter yet, it is a little bit challenging for me, because I live in Russia, and our post service is very bad (you can wait for 2-3 weeks for international delivery) and the list of available hardware from local suppliers is rather short. So the process looks like...

Re: Problem with TP-Link TL-WN722N

Well, I would try to use some other WiFi dongle, I think there is an issue with driver. Or I don't know.

But looks like the hostapd is innocent for now :)

USB WiFi (and other) issues

I've decided to publish the results of my experiments with Pi and WiFi, maybe they will be useful for someone. Sorry for my bad English, it's not my native language. The original task was easy - create a LTE <-> WiFi router with Pi, using USB powered hub. Looks simple, huh? Here is the hardware: RPi...
