Re: Car PC - Gauges

Scratch all that,
I want to use a mini projector and display all of this info on my windshield.
Similar solutions can cost upwards to $2k, and probably would be more ideal, but this would be an excellent project for the Raspberry.

Re: Car PC - Gauges

Wow, this is great, I only wish i could dedicate some sort of cheap touch screen capable device!
I'm considering moding the dash to house a Pi that does the same thing.

Re: Car PC - Gauges

I've been looking into something similar, I found this video that said he used a software program called Dash-command. It's built for Android, Windows, and IOS, I'm trying to find out if it will work with the rpi. Here's a link: http://www.palmerperformance.com/products/dashcommand/ Here's the video...

Re: Capacitor broke off. :(

Mine broke off as well but does not function :x ! I was able to solder it on, and get it working just for it to break off a few days later. Now its impossible to reattach. I've been scouring the internet trying to find a replacement with little to no luck, I've found a large amount of components on ...

Re: CPU light on GPIO pins

Why the fans? The Pi really doesn't need any fans to actually cool it. As far as blinking with the CPU not sure how well that works the CPU doesn't go on and off. I would go more for a colored LED green below 50% yellow above 50% and below 75%, red above 75% usage. That's a great idea! I have an RG...

CPU light on GPIO pins

I want to set up an LED on a case I'm building to blink with the CPU light on the pi board.

Also, I'm attempting to wire up two 120mm, 12V-15A fans to turn on when the pi boots as well.

Thoughts & comments are much appreciated.
Thanks
