Re: New Pi 4B v1.2?

10 days and still not a single hint of proof of the claim in the first post. FUD. The claim in the first post has already been proven. Someone with an account on Reddit has claimed they have a RP4 v1.2 and a revision code c03112. Now there is some doubt as to whether the user on Reddit actually had...

Re: TVHeadend won't record onto attached SSD Drive.

Sigh....beginning to lose faith here. Have upgraded tvheadend to 4.2.8.36 unfortunately no difference. (Where can I get the 4.3 file?) Have manually unmounted and remounted my ssd drive to /media/pi/newmount instead of the default, also no difference. File system on the SSD is ext4. Not sure what t...

Re: TVHeadend won't record onto attached SSD Drive.

Odd if permissions are all set correctly.

Could try updating to 4.2.8.36 to see if it helps https://cloud.disroot.org/s/y3YtbkrgFodCwdH

Or try the ‘unstable’ 4.3 build (I been running it without any issues).

Re: TVHeadend won't record onto attached SSD Drive.

No problems here with the usb hard drive manually mounted in /mnt/ via fstab on my Pi4.

Have you tried creating a ‘recordings’ folder in your hard drive and pointing TVHeadend towards that rather than the root of the hard drive ?

Are you using an up-to-date version of TVHeadend?

Re: 64-bit weekly kernel autobuilds for RPi4 released (bcm2711_defconfig)

Yes, edit /boot/config.txt and comment out the arm_64bit=1 line. Edit: I didn’t realize this was the other kernel thread. You may run into issues because there’s another line kernel=kernel8-pi4.img to be undone. You’ll probably have an easier time getting and using 64-bit kernels via rpi-update. I’...

Re: Manjaro headless installation and wifi setup

Keyboard and screen are both necessary for the initial boot of the minimal image. Ssh is enabled by default, but any attempt to log in via ssh results in a message asking you to finish the set-up procedure shown above (passwords, keyboard, time-zone etc). Once that's been completed the device will a...

Re: Raspberry pi 4 H265 4K media player, kodi, plex, other?

Easiest method would be to simply install Raspbian Lite and a DLNA server (say plex or minidlna) and use the tv's built-in media player to decode the content. I've a Plex server on my Pi and a 4k HDR capable Android box, but I still often prefer to play HDR content via DLNA straight to my TV. The TV...

Re: 64-bit weekly kernel autobuilds for RPi4 released (bcm2711_defconfig)

This is just a 64bit kernel. It is not a 64 bit userspace. You cannot run 64 bit programs.

It more of a proof-of-concept (although it's been integrated into a number of non-Debian 64 bit distros).

Manjaro 19.08 is also now available for the Rpi4 in 64bit, both in desktop and minimal flavours.
