Re: Difference between DWCOTG and DWC2

dwc_otg is the driver that has been heavily patched to squeeze most performance & function in host mode on the Pi: the fiq stuff etc. So heavily patched that, despite the name, it only does host mode & not OTG. dwc2 is an upstream driver which can do the OTG host/gadget flip dictated by OTG_SENSE. ...

Difference between DWCOTG and DWC2

Hello, I can't find good answer about this online. What is the difference in DWCOTG and DWC2 drivers? I see both of them work on RPI3 but haven't tested them much. Is DWC2 newer or somehow better? I remember those dwc_otg configuration parameters few years ago until it become quite stable. I never s...

What triggers led1?

Hi guys, I'm trying to understand what are triggers to led1 activation. I would like to use it for reading eventual under-voltage states, but I'm not sure if that is good idea as something else might fire false alarm. I see this is /sys/class/leds/led1/trigger: [none] rc-feedback kbd-scrollock kbd-n...

This means we will see stop in production of RPI2?

What are actual differences between RPI2 and RPI3 physically so someone would need adopted version of RPI2?

Now it would be super-cool if someone makes cheap sticker-like antenna.
Maybe it already exists, but I'm not informed.

Re: RPI3: Wireless and Bluetooth antenna

Can you point them out, I don't see the (3?) accessible endpoints? That is good place but photo is bad. It looks like missing upper pad. Just below GPIO 2. If you look at last photo from FCC it's much more clear. EDIT: I tried not to be lazy and show my GIMP skills :) Here it is: http://i.imgur.com...

Looking at this, I can't see the appropriate pads on the underside of the Pi 3?
I've found it on FCC photos. On bottom side besides GPIO 2 pin. Pads are on 45° angle (they were probably thigh with space).

RPI3: Wireless and Bluetooth antenna

We all saw new RPI3 announcement. I was wondering if anyone knows if it will have an option for having external antenna? I'm not an expert in this field but I know that RPI can't have metal case in case of antenna on board (if you want usable wireless). It's a question for us who make industrial app...

Can you tell us about memory on CM3? Is it 4GB NAND? Is there anything else you can share? :)

Compute module 3 details?

We saw release of RPI3 and official blog post mentioned Compute module 3 release in few months.
However, it seams that no details about CM3 were published.
Maybe somebody knows more?

Is it safe to start new design with CM1 but targeting CM2?

As title says, can someone officialy confirm that CM2 will be 100% compatible with CM1 motherboard designs?

May be it was already said somewhere but I can't find it.

I've abandoned that Arch long time ago, but if I recall well, it was about network switch that caused delay in accepting rpi into netowork.

Re: New compute module?

Why do people think the CM hasn't been selling? Figures have never been released. Consumer items (like Slice) are only one part of the CM's abilities, there are lots of industrial applications that could use them that the huge majority of people would never hear about. I agree with that. As I said ...

Watchdog unreliable, rebooting without a reason?

Hello, I've installed 100s of RPI2s. I've noticed that bcm2708 watchdog sometimes fires reboot without specific reason, while everything was working normally. That happens in every 30 minutes, or so. (it happened in RPI1 too) If I disable watchdog on them, they don't reboot randomly (of course). I'm...
