Re: Puppy for RP, Alpha2

After multiple downloads of the file and attempts at extracting the file, I eventually realised I had a really old version of Z-zip.

Turns out I had version 4, when the latest is version 9.

Thanks for all the help from everyone though.

Re: Puppy for RP, Alpha2

That error is with Z-zip.

These downloads arent only supposed to work on a Linux PC are they? As I'm trying to download them on my Main Windows 7 PC.

Re: Puppy for RP, Alpha2

Right, it turns out I must have just tried putting the download straight onto the SD card which caused the problem.

Thing is, the download ends with a '.img.xz'. I've tried unzipping it with Z-zip but it says 'cannot open file ... as archive'? So I can't even extract the proper image file from it?

Worked a treat. I didn't realise a camera could format a SD card by itself.

Thankyou everyone for your help. :)

Re: Puppy for RP, Alpha2

The only problem is that my main PC doesn't recognise the SD card anymore, it doesn't even acknowledge there's a card plugged in. Also win32 DI can't see it either.

Putting the SD card in a digital camera makes the camera display a 'card error' and won't let me take photos.

Re: Puppy for RP, Alpha2

I think I extracted the file with winRAR. I ended up with an image file, but it wasn't a standard image file and windows 7 didn't show the little image icon that it normally does. The file ended with something like '.xz' or something. When I went to use Win32 disc imager it didn't see the image file...
