Re: File system full after camera crash.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.
The script was directed to save to /home/pi/raspicam folder. The folder shows no evidence of any files except my script. I have searched the whole Pi and no .H264 to be found. Will give fdisk a go when I get get home from work.

File system full after camera crash.

Hi y'all, Slight problemo. I am rigging up a push button, take video project and set a script to run as a cron at startup. I stupidly didn't set the script to sleep until the Pi had fully booted therefore recording began immediately. When I realised it was recording video I had to pull the power. Up...

Re: FPS problem...

Don't worry people I managed to sort it. It has nothing to do with the Raspicam. It was something to do with ffmpeg. I found out that by changing the code to use 'avconv' instead worked perfectly. avconv -r 30 -i name_of_file.h264 [blah blah blah] The code is the same it is literally just changing t...

FPS problem...

Hi all, I am having a right headache with the raspivid control. I am using a PIR to trigger my camera board to start a 10 second video. This all works very well and I get a nice .h264 file appear on the file system. Problem is that when I convert the video using ffmpeg the video is way too fast and ...

Re: simplify wiringpi

To elaborate on rpdom's post. You can make a script and include the following at the beginning: redon= "gpio write 1 1" redoff= "gpio write 1 0" greenon= "gpio write 2 1" greenoff= "gpio write 2 0" You can then use them in your script to quickly turn them on and off: $redon $greenon sleep 1 $redoff ...

Animation bash script with mencoder and fswebcam...

Hi all, I have developed a script that uses fswebcam to capture image stills and mencoder to process an animation movie. The script was designed for my 7 year old to use and he loves it. See his first animation here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79ZNDjqY2iI and the tutorial here: http://andyseasys...

Re: output file

Hi, it is very easy. If you use a while statement you can increment the number. i=0 while [ $i -lt 750 ] # or any other number... do # use your image capture code here... fswebcam -r 1280x720 -S 15 --jpeg 99 -p MJPEG --save home$i.jpg -q # this is where you increment the $i variable... i=$(($i+1)) d...

Re: Incorporate raspistill images into webpage

Or, once the jpg has been generated use a mysql database to store the filename and date/time.
When your webpage uses the meta to refresh, you can query the database to search for a newly updated image to display. Voila :D

Nice one! Are the cress growing in a constant light? Or is there an infrared light source so that night-time activities can be observed? Webcams are good in the infrared spectrum. Cress-Growing Timelapse

I need to begin this post by saying that one good thing has come from McDonald's… (at last). Me and my son, Camden were having a treat one evening and in his Happy Meal was, what I thought to be, the usual annoying, useless toy. Not this time! This time he had received a cress growing kit. Yes! You ...
