Re: 3.11.y kernel config options which prevent boot...

I was hoping to confirm that these are actually issues before reporting them... not much point if no-one else is affected.

3.11.y kernel config options which prevent boot...

Hi all, I've been testing various options to build an efficient rpi-3.11.y kernel, and I'm finding that the following prevent boot from succeeding if set: CONFIG_KUSER_HELPERS CONFIG_SLOB ... disabling the former (which failed to compile on rpi-3.10.y, where is was introduced) removes a potentially-...

Re: CMA non-functional with Kernel 3.8.11?

I've had the same problem with bcmrpi_defconfig and my own .config - if you have a configuration that works, could you post your cmdline.txt, the revelant parts of config.txt, and your kernel .config?

CMA non-functional with Kernel 3.8.11?

I've been trying to get a 3.8+ kernel working on my Raspberry Pi (F2FS support sounds good ;) and has having no luck. With the recent addition of a TTL serial cable, I can see that the kernel is stopping with an Out Of Memory error during early user-space boot. Disabling CMA has fixed this, however....

Overclocking, CMA, and config.txt parameters

I've had my Pi for a while now, but there are still some aspects which I can find little, and often contradictory, information about: Overclocking : With 'force_turbo=0', does the SoC scale up and down linearly between *_freq_min and *_freq, or is it a step-change from one value to the other? Linux ...

Re: RPI / U-Boot / MMC warnings by linux kernel

Can you provide any further details of how you got u-boot working? I have the Raspberry Pi loading a uboot image build from the above Git repo, but booting this stops after outputting 'Net Initialization skipped' and then a couple of 'unknown filesystem' errors. Do you have a 'boot.scr' (or similar)...
