Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

castalla wrote:No idea!

Just install 7.8 by using the wget in the AllThingsPi tutorial. You have to do the whole routine from the start - otherwise it won't work.
thanks, tomorrow I'll give a try, if 7.8 keeps having the issues I had on 7.7.3 I'll ask for help directly on the slimdevices forum.

Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

Do you mean you want lms 7,7.4 ??? In AllThingsPi tutorial, there's the command wget in point 2. Just change this to: wget http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/7.7/sc/6d9fea0/logitechmediaserver_7.7.4~1378385227_all.deb Hi castalla, sorry to reply so late but I have been having few spare time a...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

My advice. Start from scratch with a Debian image Then follow the instructions at AllThingsPI to install LMS: http://allthingspi.webspace.virginmedia.com/lms.php Hi, thanks for the tutorial, looking at shell script used by squeezePlug I fugured out that after installing LMS it does some patching. I...

Is it listed as a process when you do 'top' in terminal ?
yes, is running. I also tried to restart the service but no luck.

I'm going to unistall 7.8, install 7.7 and then install 7.8

Did you get the 7.8 installed this way? Oddily I can't find an online tutorial.
Maybe a longshot, but have you tried rpi_ip:9001 ?
thank you for your reply, I just tried port 9001. No luck either.

Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

Hi urlu, no offense :) I didn' mean to be impolite. I think the best way to keep your settings is to do cp -r /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs/* <your backup directory> for a restore do cp -r <your backup directory>/* /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs/ I am using 7.8 and it looks good so far. I had sy...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

Hi uluru, I have no stability issues with the Version that is shipped by Sueezeplug except for playback that involves syncronization and lame . So I switched back to PCM (uninstalled lame). But I will start testing version 7. 8 tonight, and report back if I experienced any flaws. In the meantime I ...

Re: SOLVED overclocking apparently works for RAM and not for

thank you for your assistance dom. As I wrote I polled manually the cpu frequency from another ssh session while apt-get update&& upgrade was taking place. However executing the script you provided while : ; do cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_cur_freq; done I see the cpu going to 90...

SOLVED overclocking apparently works for RAM and not for CPU

Hi, I have the latest squeezeplug image on a raspberry pi model b configured with the High overclock option (cpu 900mhz, ram 450Mhz). The force_turbo mode option is set to 0, I never messed with that option to avoid to mistakenly void the warranty. The pi is significantly more responsive (especially...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

Alright, given my (minor) stability issues with logitech media server I decided to follow the advice I was given earlier in this thread and install a nightly, but I found out that there are two nightly, the 7.7 branch and the 7.8 one.

Which one is better on the pi?

thank you

Hi, I have 3 problems with my squeezeplug installation: 1 . I found that setup no longer works, it has the same effect as the clear command (clears the screen) That's probably caused by my weekly apt-get update && apt-get -y upgrade After I found out setup no longer works I stopped updating7upgradin...

I have the need to run a couple applications that require GUI environment. I tried to install squeezeplug from a fresh installed raspbian but it disables X on boot. Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

Hi, I appreciate the great work of squeezeplug. First of all I want to share my experience about LMS going to 90% cpu. I realized it was the ext4 filesystem getting corrupted on shutdown (sudo shutdown now or sudo halt). Probably it was due to the fact that I overclocked it to 800mhz (the most conse...
