Re: RPi2 GPIO PERI_BASE Dom Gert BCM2836

Tried 0x40000000 but that didn't work.
Searched through /proc for the answer!

RPi2 GPIO PERI_BASE Dom Gert BCM2836

Hi all, we have been using the excellent Dom and Gert software, http://elinux.org/RPi_Low-level_peripherals to drive the GPIO interface on earlier versions of the Raspberry Pi. This software defines... #define BCM2835_PERI_BASE 0x20000000 Alas, this does not work with the Raspberry Pi 2 but I figure...

Re: [Tutorial] Show RPI's Temperature with a command.

When I run /opt/vc/bin/vcgencmd measure_temp I get
temp=64.3'C
Is that a bit high? Ambient is 44C here

Linux 3.6.11 and MMAP Dom and Gert

Ok, although I failed to read the first post in this topic and we seem to have drifted on to MMAP, perhaps this is related. Anyway here is a solution to the mmap issue. It appears that between Linux 3.2.27 and the now Linux 3.6.11, the mmap routine in c has been somewhat tightened up. Within the Dom...

Linux raspberrypi 3.2.27+ #250 PREEMPT Thu Oct 18 19:03:02 BST 2012 armv6l GNU/Linux, the mmap routine works perfectly. Re: Strange behaviour of kernel module

I too have suffered the same error.
I rolled back to a clean 2012-12-16-wheezy-raspbian.img rather than the newer
2013-02-09-wheezy-raspbian.img and also without dist-upgrade.
This worked so I think there could be a bug somewhere in the new version.
I will update until I crash and report back.
