Re: VideoCore Hanging

Something else that is interesting...if I repeatedly run 'vcdbg reloc stats' while my app is running, I noticed that from time-to-time it will say corrupt next pointer 0x588 in free list and GPU free memory will drop to 2.4K free memory in 9 free block(s) ...after which things seem to go back to nor...

Re: VideoCore Hanging

Jamesh...thanks for flagging this to Dom. Perhaps the allocation without release is happening when omxplayer never returns after it finishes playing a video, does not respond to a SIGINT, and needs to be sent a SIGKILL to continue? Is there a way to clean up or clear Videocore allocations as a worka...

Re: VideoCore Hanging

I'm using 39e6342, though I've encountered the same issues with many other versions of omxplayer. Separately, omxplayer has a persistent issue over the last year or so now of not always returning EOS when a video is finished playing (it essentially never returns and stays running). This also makes i...

VideoCore Hanging

I'm running an application created in Kivy (http://www.kivy.org) that runs an endless slideshow loop of pictures with ken burns animations and h264 videos run by omxplayer in a python subprocess. This worked very well in the July 2013 Raspbian build...but it is increasingly running into difficulties...

Re: Call for beta testers: FIQ_FSM USB driver rewrite

I've run for about 5 hours with a usb bluetooth device running as an iBeacon under bluez with the following messages (though my app seemed ok): Mar 18 21:10:06 raspberrypi kernel: [21287.081303] Transfer to device 6 endpoint 0x1 failed - FIQ reported NYET. Data may have been lost. Mar 18 21:10:06 ra...

Re: Call for beta testers: FIQ_FSM USB driver rewrite

Thanks for all the hard work that has gone into this rewrite. With this latest change I'm able to run smoothly for many days with no crashes. However, there is one thing I've noticed that seems very strange. Here is my system configuration: Raspberry Pi: Model B rev 2 Power: New Trent NT90C 10W 5V/2...

Re: SDL 1.2 with dispmanx backend

A file has moved in the Raspbian distribution and is not reflected in this code. Run again as follows and it should work:

Code: Select all

export CFLAGS="-I/opt/vc/include/interface/vmcs_host/linux"
./MAC_ConfigureDISPMANX.sh
make
sudo make install

Thanks @vanfanel and hopefully you'll come back to RPi programming some time soon.

Re: SDL 1.2 with dispmanx backend

Thanks for the great contribution @Vanfanel. Do you or others know how to create a transparent window/surface in dispmanx? I'm working on a slideshow app and using this with Pygame to create overlays on top of omxplayer. It all works well and layers correctly, but I can't seem to make a transparent ...

Re: Touchscreen XBMC Tablet Rpi Issue

Has anyone had any luck with this? I've had similar challenges with the touchscreen on my Acer T232HL (a somewhat new multitouch monitor). I've tried with Raspbmc, OpenELEC and Xbian and none of them work out the box. The monitor works fine, but the touchscreen doesn't work at all. That said, it doe...
