I have a pizero w which was running Arch and I could access the camera as a user. However, I hadn't used it for about a year, so did a fresh install of ArchLinux. The way I do this is to set up a MySQL database on a non Pi server on my network. You can post the sensor readings to this remote database (see the host parameter in the mysql docs) from your pi's. I have a field for the hostname if the database, so I can identify which Pi the reading originated fro...

Problem solved! I have got a few pi's. I have been running on a pi2, so I decided to try and see what happened if I moved the sensor to a B+. i2c detect couldn't find it on the bus. So moved it back to the pi2 again, which now couldn't find the sensor on the bus. Checked the solder on the connectors...

Before diving into the code, I decided to order another sensor from another supplier (which I'll need soon anyway) That should rule out any fault with my current sensor.

Can you see your BMP180 on the I2C bus? Install i2c-tools and use the i2cdetect -y 1 command. Yes, I can and since works with the Adafruit library (albeit giving erroneous readings). I am want to do some time lapse photography with a GoPro. Specifically I want to be able to turn the camera on and off and take single shots. There is a usb cable with an FTDI chip that can probably do this, but the Pi will be some distance from the GoPro, so Wifi is preferable. I can't find any doc...

Case That Attaches to a Tripod

I am looking for a case that will enclose my Pi and camera and attach to a standard tripod mount. Does such a thing exist? The nearest I can find is the Nwazet Pi Camera Box and wall mount, but this doesn't seem to have the standard tripod thread.

Manually setting ISO as in:

./raspistill -ex night -ISO 800 -o test_night800.jpg
Results in an ISO of 800, but an exposure of 1/20 sec and an underexposed picture. Don't know if this is expected behaviour. Maybe --ISO and -ex are mutually exclusive.

On ArchLinux this gives me 0.25sec exposure and ISO 500 (from EXIF tags). Can also confirm that verylong never returns and causes the camera to lock up. Will do some more exepriments.

Thanks for the feedback. With my Canon I use exposures if something like 20secs (data not to hand at the moment), which gives good single image results. Like you said there is no timed exposure mode with the Pi camera. I as just wondering if anyone had any experience of trying this sort of thing wit...

I have three Pi's and at the moment I only have one mpeg licence, but I intend buying another two. Is there a way of entering multiple licence codes into config.txt, so I can swap SD cards between Pi's without having to change the licence details each time?
