Re: 3M Touchscreen calibration not working

I'm running into this problem also and it looks like it's related to the change from using evdev module to the new libinput. The log file you posted shows more at the end than at the beginning. Re: Touchscreen support built in yet?

Well I went ahead and purchased the 9" version direct from Sainsmart. Arrived quickly, had to pay £14 customs as they'd labelled it as plastic case, I did but one of them also... Swapped the HDMI cable to the screen and it displayed instantly. Screen seems a little dim maybe and flickers slightly, ...

Re: using the GPIO pins

You are also not importing time and you are calling time.sleep. That's probably why you are getting the error code you entered.

Bubble Hockey Scoreboard

So I'm working on a project for making a scoreboard for an old school bubble hockey table. I think I have all the components but I'm not sure about the power draw, enough GPIO pins, etc. so was looking for some feedback. Basically the setup is going to have the following: (2) 4 digit 7 segment displ...

Pi restarting/reinitializing

So I have a very random issue occurring with my Pi setup. For starters, here's a little background. I have a Pi using a 5v 2A power supply. The Pi is connected to 3 different peripherals (powered USB hub, 16x2 LCD, PIR sensor). The LCD and PIR are powered and controlled by the Pi GPIO. The USB hub i...

Re: The Raspberry Pi Model B+ Q&A thread

Have the changes made to the B+ allow a usb touch screen monitor to be powered by the pi? In the past (model b rev. 2) a powered usb hub was required due to brown out issues.

Re: Mimo 720-S Touchscreen [Solved]

How can i see/find the ID's? :) just copy the output of your lsusb in full. I'm having a new problem now, but may be a blessing. I just got a new mimo 720-f and they are different somehow. They are shipping with a usb-powered cable. Not only that but when I run a lsusb I see both the display and th...

Re: HELP: LCD Module: Cannot run python script (GPIO)

Do you have the potentiometer connected to pin 3 of the LCD? I don't see it in your pictures. When I was setting up mine and I tried to just ground the pin nothing would show because the contrast was not adjusted correctly. What I ended up doing was adding a 2.2k ohms resistor(red, red, red, gold) from...

Sounds like you are. You can easily see if it doesn't have the chip in it by doing an lsusb. Also, it could be a change in the chip design if it is listed.

Re: Mimo 720-S Touchscreen [Solved]

can I have the touchscreen part of the screen working Without dwc_otg.speed=1?? if I delete that line the screen mouse keyboard works perfect.. only want the touch part too., It's basically "lesser of two evils". Changing the dwc_otg.speed reduces the speed of the usb from 2.0 to 1.1. Doing this ki...

Re: YAUSBP (Yet Another USB Problem) using powered hub

I have experienced a similar problem with a usb touchscreen monitor. Changing the cmdline.txt file fixed the problem by adding dwc_otg.speed=1 What this actually does is change usb from 2.0 to 1.1. Although this did solve my problem, it ended up causing issues with my other input devices (mouse/keyb...

Re: Mimo 720-S Touchscreen [Solved]

Not a problem J. The intention for our Pi is to just be an on screen interface for controlling equipment and really wouldn't require a keyboard. Just wanted to be sure others knew there could be issues depending on the keyboard (usb device).

Re: Mimo 720-S Touchscreen [Solved]

Just an FYI, changing this setting can cause issues with other usb devices. I noticed that my usb keyboard will not work anymore with this change. Not that it matter since I can remote in but just a heads up for other devices people may be using with it. An OK solution I added was matchbox-keyboard....

Re: Mimo 720-S Touchscreen

Two original Pi's as in Rev. 1? If that's the case I find his pictures interesting because it has those fuses but also has network which I thought was only added on Rev. 2.

Am I taking crazy pills or am I just misinformed?

It looks as if C32 was moved to were F1 fuse was and F2 fuse is nowhere to be found. So much for tha...

Re: Mimo 720-S Touchscreen

I was/have been experiencing hub issues. I ordered a belkin hub and should be getting it later this week. I had tested with one before but that was prior to finding the displaylink quirks online so I have not been able to test it again with a good usb hub.
