I have a 4 gb sd card that I used with my raspberry pi...it worked fine. I decided to update my os using noob install...the first thing I tried was to use sd formatter on my windows machine to blank the sd card to install my new noob install...however sd formatter said the drive was not able to use ...

paddyg Thank you for the response...it looks like my best plan should be to change the overall raspberry pi screen resolution in the config file...I have never done this before...but I should be able to change the overall rpi resolution to something like 640*480 @60hz...then python/pygame should run...

Thank you for the info...so when I call eglswapbuffers...the program stalls until the vsync hits...keeping the fps at 60... Is that correct?

I am working on developing a simple game program on the raspberry pi...I just got GLES working:)...however, I need a timer to set the fps/updates at 60FPS...how or what timer can be set on the raspberry pi???

Thank you for the reply...I just got my simple test program running...but I have no idea on how to tie to the vsync or keep the frame rate at 60 fps...do you have any code that you can share...is there a simple timer for 16ms? Any help is appreciated

The GIT repo worked great...I am looking forward to more demos and examples (the more the better)...Like I said earlier...I have been looking for something like this for along time :) Great work...this engine could jump start some powerful game development on the raspberry pi

It looks awesome!!! I will be giving it a try tonight...I have been looking for something like this for along time...on the youtube video there are two demos(one tetris and one side scroller) are both of the demos included with the source code?

paddyg Thank you for all your work...it looks like my best bet might be to do the online install and then maybe make a clone of the sd card image...then I would be able the run pi3d on all the model a pi(s) What kind of 2d graphic performance can I expect with pi3d...is a 1000 sprites 16x16 at 60 fp...

Pi3d looks very cool...I didn't realize it could do so many 2d functions....but the install looks crazy...that is a LOT of dependencies. I alway install items on my pi of offline(I have mostly model A(s)...but offline installs did not look possible with pi3d

Is there a noticeable increase in python graphic performance on the new pi2? I had a program for the old pi that I could only get about 10 fps...so I am wondering if it's time to buy a new pi2
