Re: Farnell Still using inadequate packaging

Unfortunately although the packaging now includes two pieces of foam in a cardboard box, the cable was bent over and creased. I would have thought they should have learnt by now. Leo Unfortunately the 2 off that I received today didn't have any foam in the boxes and both boxes were squashed flat in...

Re: Streaming Raspberry Pi Camera H264 into HTML over RTMP

I've followed this method and have exactly the same problem as recantha2 - bitrate shown as 0K - and as I also already had ffmpeg installed I've tried compiling ffmpeg from source as shown above: cd /usr/src sudo mkdir ffmpeg sudo chown pi:users ffmpeg git clone git://source.ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg.git ff...

Re: Flashing band across video

Me yesterday... I had a problem that was very similar to what you have described too and in my case it appeared that it was some interference being caused by the HDMI to VGA convertor I was using. When I connected to a proper HDMI display the problem went away. I have today done extensive testing us...

Re: Any in UK get there's from CPC ?

Mine was the first post mentioning the "squashed box" and was, like Mortimer's, in a grey plastic posting bag that had no padding.

I've had an account with CPC since 1994 and I must admit their packing is somewhat variable! :)

I'll send order details too.

Thanks for your help guys.

By the way, I meant to say, I think you've done a good job with the camera, I'm impressed with the quality.

Re: Video is mirror image

Yes. It's quite normal to flip the viewfinder on a front mounted camera (try it with the front camera of an iPhone) which is used for web chat type uses. A rear mounted camera wouldn't normally be flipped. Yes I understand the viewfinder point, but if I take a picture/video with my iPhone using eit...

Re: Video is mirror image

Thanks - yes I've just discovered and tried that option and it does fix it but if you don't use it the video always reverts to mirror image. I've tried powering off/on again but no joy.

Do they all do this?

Video is mirror image

I've just connected up my newly arrived camera module and it is displaying video, both in the preview window and in recorded file, as mirror image. This applies to video and still images.

The display is otherwise normal.

Any ideas?

Re: Any in UK get there's from CPC ?

I ordered mine yesterday and it showed "tracking number not available" (or something similar) but has arrived by normal post about an hour ago. You only get a tracking number if sent by courier I believe. The postman (bless him!) has managed to completely squash the box as he put it through the lett...

Re: SD Card is working fine in Pi but in nothing else!

I found the easiest way to remove the partitions from the card was to download GParted Live - a small Linux distro which allows you to boot straight to the Gnome Partition Editor. Simply burn it to a CD or USB stick and boot your PC from that. The partition editor tool will allow you to remove all t...

Re: Does B Rev.2 fit MULTICOMP cases?

Hi Flo,

Yes both Model B Rev 1 and Rev 2 fit the Farnell MultiComp cases you mention.

I can also confirm that the Model A fits OK as well, although there is of course a gap where the Ethernet connector would be and also above the smaller USB connector.
