set it to the pi2 setting of 1000mhz. I just tested kirby 64 and it ran okay, stuttered a little but generally smooth. also set the memory split to 512mb
there is an option in retropie to have it take them from a flash drive. you plug in the drive, it adds folders, you then put the roms in those folders on you pc and plug it back into the pi and it moves them to the directories. it is done automatically if you have the option on. sorry but I forgot w...
the only thing I can see causing issues is the usb and Ethernet ports but they are pretty easy to move/remove. Poppycock and balderdash. It makes a B+ next to useless if you remove connectors. http://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/hardware/raspberrypi/mechanical/README.md http://www.raspberrypi-...
It looks like the b and b+ are the same dimensions. the only thing I can see causing issues is the usb and Ethernet ports but they are pretty easy to move/remove.
You can make a controller for gpio. this thread here talks about that. http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=82878 I think there is also a way to do basically the same thing but instead it will register as keyboard presses not gamepad presses as for the screen it is much simpler to ...
WOOHOO!!! I got it working. thanks for the help guys turns out the 2 "data" lines were swapped (oops) i was confused because gpio 14 is uart0_txd and 15 is uart0_rxd so i assumed rx-rx tx-tx checking your guide again I noticed that i had it backwards good thing its working now though. thanks again. ...
I tried doing what DougieLawson said and same problem, on boot it says failed to initialize. this was with a fresh sd card, I checked the chatpad, its getting 3.3v and I checked continuity on all the wires, and checked the .ini and it all looked good.
I'm trying to make a portable pi but I wanted to keep the ability to type on the go. I saw this http://www.newsdownload.co.uk/pages/RPiGpioXBoxChatPad.html http://www.newsdownload.co.uk/pages/RPiKeypadDriver.html and was excited to see I could hook a chatpad to the pi so I started working. I downloa...
I decided I'd just do it the long way and it all works fine now. but now there is another issue. I did the es scraper thing to make it look a little nicer but now my rom selection is really slow, takes 10 seconds to switch emulators and/or roms which is very annoying. is there some fix for that or a...
Hello I recently decided I'd make a portable emulator with my pi, I got all the parts but the batter so i though I'd start getting everything setup. I used the sd image because its easier and faster. I'm trying to setup my controller to work. I got a teensy and set it up to act as a controller, it w...
Nice but i find it easier ot just rip it in half, measure how much to cut then cut the halves separately then put it all back together with glue. also if you want a small sd to micro sd you can do something similar, its harder and riskier but i just my adapter and ripped it open, bent the pins back ...
cd RetroPie-Setup
chmod +x retropie_setup.sh
sudo ./retropie_setup.sh
that should start the setup, then it should be the 3rd option down under the 2 options for installing retropie. then i think its one of the first options but it will say somethingl ike start emulationstation on boot
is the gameboy broke? its up to you but i wouldnt ruin a sweet gameboy like that. anyway its your choice, i would take off all un-needed ports on the pi, usb, rca, audio. to save room. of course i am assuming you have some soldering skills. then about step 7 on the guide. the tft uses what looks lik...
cool, is it only 4AA batteries, what type (like rechargable or not) and do you have some sort of circuit for voltage regulations or something or just 4 simple batteries. and whats the voltage and mah on those batteries also just to make sure. i could make my own cells in a way by connecting 4 AA's i...
