Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

I'll be having a look at the mastersystem setup myself tomorrow. If you make any progress let us know here. From what I can see from my tinkering at the weekend osmose does not have the same setup as dgen when it comes to key mapping and will likely be more of a struggle I've done some tinkering an...

Re: OsmOse – a Sega Master System/Game Gear emulator, now po

In the es_setup file that the RetroPie script created, it does show the -joy in the line that launches Osmose, but not things like -joy1 2 -joy1 4. What do these mean? What I am ultimately trying to do is manually map my joypad buttons for the emulator. As of now it does work with whatever defaults ...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

Working from memory here, as I can't get at my pi atm. If you run the setup script once you have modified the version and choose then setup option (second one down I think) there will be an option in there to install degen. Choosing that option won't reinstall everything but will still take a while...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

I can confirm that an exit button is mappable using an update dgen emulator. Here are the steps I took to get everything working: 1 change the Retropie-Setup script to pull the newer version of dgens from sourceforge. This is as simple as changing all the references to dgen-1.30 to 1.31 2 use the m...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

I got a reply from Zamaz at the soundforge page for DGen about the controller issue and his response was the following: Message: Since v1.31, you can bind arbitrary key_* actions to joypadX_bY like this: joypad1_b0 = key_quit Or by entering "joypad1_b0 key_quit" at the prompt. However, there's also ...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

I have been pulling my hair out for the past few hours trying to figure out how I can map a joystick button to exit Sega Genesis roms in DGEN to get back to the emulationstation interface. All the buttons work fine as I have edited the dgenrc file in the hidden .dgen folder. But for the life of me I...

Exiting roms in DGEN

I have found that mapping my usb joypad for DGen games requires me to edit the dgenrc file inside the hidden .dgen folder. I have all the buttons working properly except for being able to exit out of roms. It looks like mapping joypad buttons can only be done to valid Genesis controller buttons (a, ...
