Re: Does Pi use GPU if headless?

Thanks for the advice gents. I was trying to use the Model B Revision 1 board (one of the original ones first sold, with 256MB memory). I think trying to run motion on it in any useful way is beyond my capabilities, though I might try it again with the memory split as you have suggested. Fortunately...

Does Pi use GPU if headless?

Hi everyone. Apologies for the stupid question but I am planning on running motion on a headless Rev 2 Pi (I control it via SSH). Obviously I want to be able to squeeze as much memory use out of the CPU because it seems to struggle a bit with motion when the Pi camera has detected movement. It isn't...

Re: I can't configure my WiFi

Aahhh sorry Raul,

Those instructions would only work for Rasbian - they are Debian based.

I am sorry, I don't have the knowledge to help with Pidora which is Fedora based.

EDIT TO ADD:

The following might help

Re: Motion not available from anything other than localhost.

A few things to check: 1. Does the location where the image files are saved actually exist (usually /tmp/motion) 2. Are you adding the 'port number' to the web browser (e.g. 192.168.2.5:8081) 3. Is the image size a multiple of 16? You can also check the files with less /var/log/messages and less /va...

Re: Screenly OSE -- Digital Signage for the Raspberry Pi

Hi, Just want to add my thanks for writing this software. I realise you have already commented on stability with WiFi but is there any chance you can offer a hack that will allow us to use this method? I can get the WiFi dongle to run and have been able to access the Screenly OSE webpage (that is, 1...
