Re: RPI4 4GB cannot handle full-featured charts on tradingview.com

What graphics driver are you using? Legacy or fake KMS? I was able to open the site on Vivaldi using the fake KMS driver + vivaldi with these flags enabled: Override software rendering list GPU rasterization Out of process rasterization Zero-copy rasterizer Edit: Enabling these flags in the include...

Re: RPI4 4GB cannot handle full-featured charts on tradingview.com

Good question... I actually watched a YT video that suggested to do that. I thought it might help with the handling of the graphics. I did that straight after installation, so I have never tried the original set up... I don't even remember what was the original set up... GPU memory works differentl...

Re: Google Maps is totally garbled/unusable on Pi 4!

Update: problem is solved! It turns out FKMS was not the direct cause, but a trigger. I renamed ~/.config/chromium to something chromium wouldn't recognize and haven't seen the problem since. Before renaming it, I made sure that no chrome flags were modified. This issue has been known since early J...

I had the exact same issue with a Dell monitor with the latest rpi-update kernel. I disabled overscan in the config.txt, and that resolved the issue for me.

Re: A problem with Chromium after last update (bad rendered content)

Could you try https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=249650&p=1524254#p1524254 ? It looks okay to me, but I haven't checked that it wasn't okay before upgrading. It looks like that did the trick. Maps on weather.gov seem to be fixed. Other sites posted in this thread seem to be fix...

Re: A problem with Chromium after last update (bad rendered content)

I guess its good to hear that others have this same issue. These map display issues also occur with NOAA's forecast site: https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=38.889470000000074&lon=-77.03480999999994 Edit: I also tried the latest build of Vivaldi for the raspberry pi, it also has the same ...

Re: Anybody got bluetooth or wifi Speakers working?

Excellent! So, you are good to go? I still wonder how you don't get a crash when you physically switch the Jambox off? Can you do uname -a ? What's the kernel version? Also what does hciconfig -a give? Not exactly, it only works with aplay while I want to work with other apps such as pianobar. Basi...

Re: Samba Performance

It's a powered USB hub right? If yes, then I am out of suggestions. You seem to have tried pretty much everything. I don't know what could be causing the bottleneck. I am getting just over 11MB/s steady here with less than 50% cpu. I have three 3.5" drives and one 2.5" drive connected to the Pi rig...

Re: Samba Performance

It is not a 2.5" drive, its a self powered 3.5" WD USB Drive. I'll try it on another Linux machine and see if there is any performance is different. Just ran a dd performance test.on another machine, the drives performance is drasticly better on Ubuntu than the pi's debian distro (2.0 MB/s compared...

Re: Samba Performance

Why don't you to connect that USB drive to your PC and see if its really that slow? Then you'll know for sure. Are you using a powered USB hub? Connecting a 2.5" drive directly to the Pi's USB does not work well for me due to power constraints. It is not a 2.5" drive, its a self powered 3.5" WD USB...

Re: Samba Performance

I'm unable to duplicate these performance figures. The best I can get is around 6.0-6.5 MB/s write speeds. Perhaps it's because you are using a different drive with lower performance? Or perhaps it's the config file. Can you test how fast the drive is by making an empty file using dd? And can you p...

Re: Anybody got bluetooth or wifi Speakers working?

So .... 1. Does it autopair? Are you sure it's actually connected? 2. I've no idea about Pulseaudio - mine just plays via alsa (I think) Yes its autopaired, and blueman says it is connected via headset service and audio sink. I've duplicated this via the command line as well. It seems to be connect...

Re: Anybody got bluetooth or wifi Speakers working?

I recall having that problem ... but I've no idea how I solved it - lost in the bt chaos. Oh hang on - go to /etc/bluetooth/audio.conf Under the {General} section add: Disable=Media Enable=Socket I think that solved it for me. Let us know if it works. Do you get a network crash? If not: Tell us the...

Re: Anybody got bluetooth or wifi Speakers working?

It works up to a point! Then crashes ... frankly, it's an utter PITA to set-up and get working. I've given up and just use a cable! I assume you are using debian (of sorts)' Login and get to the terminal - if you are not root user, add 'sudo' at the start of each command . apt-get update apt-get in...

Re: Samba Performance

The configurations don't seem to differ that much, although I am by no mean an expert (very much not so in fact). I can only imagine it is due to the drive performance, or the amount of attached USB devices. There is only one USB 2.0 Hard Drive attached, formatted EXT4. Have you tried adding the fo...
