Re: Zoneminder 1.26 for raspbian.

Sorry didn't update the post. I've renamed the libjpeg packages due to conflicts between libjpeg8 and libturbojpeg8. Zoneminder should pull them when you install but if not they are now called... libturbojpeg8 libturbojpeg8-dev libturbojpeg libturbojpeg-dev & libjpeg-turbo-tools.

libjpeg-turbo svn with jpeg8 for raspbian.

Thought this deserves it's own thread as it could be used for suprfast vnc etc. A SIMD-accelerated JPEG codec that provides both the libjpeg and TurboJPEG APIs libjpeg-turbo is a JPEG image codec that uses SIMD instructions (MMX, SSE2, NEON) to accelerate baseline JPEG compression and decompression ...

Zoneminder 1.26 for raspbian.

Hey guys, I needed to update zoneminder to 1.26 so I would pick up my DVR. Been a pain to get it to compile for raspbian but finally got there. It's not very clean just striped the SSE and made the odd change to make it play nice. It really could do with some more time adding some arm code but it wi...

Re: EasyCAP somagic 6 quid 4 channel DVR module patch.

I'm now browsing aliexpress.com, there are some sellers have pointed abbreviation "DC60" in the 4ch DVR's titles they sell. I doubt that these DVR's are really on STK1160 chip (as you remember, this chip is supported by RPi , but I don't suppose there are 4ch devices) and have asked them to report ...

Re: EasyCAP somagic 6 quid 4 channel DVR module patch.

Yes seems like there is still some work to do to bring this up to date. I've been sifting the web as I'm no v4l2 developer and there are little tid bits all over the web. I think there are problems with the 2013 models and this driver that someone has fixed but for another version of the same driver...

EasyCAP somagic 6 quid 4 channel DVR module patch.

Hey guys, I'm sure there's a few people out there that bought a cheap usb DVR on ebay for a fiver and tried it on the PI. Unfortunately there is limited support and clumsy userspace tools. I've just realized that there has been a native kernel driver wrote and it's being tested. http://code.google.c...

You shouldn't need initrd just the kernel modules and kernel image. Why don't you build btrfs using dkms ?

Or you can use a toolchain and wait 5 mins.

Using ccache on amd quad core server it takes around 2 mins.

Hey guys, I wanted to build a fresh kernel with a few optimizations included and thought I'd share the patch to see if anyone would like to try or tell me I'm a c*&k and shouldn't give up my day job. Changes are as follows. Added lzo Unaligned Memory Access Patched ext4 to speedup unlink / truncate ...

Your question is a little vague. Raspbian is based on debian wheezy. I would check out this link.

zram snappy compression.

Just wondering if anyone has compiled a kernel with the above included ? I've just patched up the latest git and compiling for testing but didn't want to go through all the hassle of compiling if someone has data already :D I did test the build and it compiled without errors but for some reason I ca...

@charliesroot

I've not had a problem with airplay although I don't use ITunes ? All I have installed are the stock packages. Can you post a link to what your using ?

Anyway I've updated to the latest git and included the resolution fix.

Enjoy.

Re: xbmc .debs build from latest git.

I haven't had a problem this end. There was lots of commits pushed after I compiled that version. I wanted to let things settle down after the version change before I posted another version. I've just uploaded my latest version I have on my media center. Let me know if this fixes your issues.

Re: xbmc .debs build from latest git.

Sorry guy's but your going to have to wait a bit longer for projectm for raspbian. Everything compiles and runs but crashes XBMC's gui. I'll have to create a debug version of xbmc and take a look at whats going on. But for now the XBMC 13.0-alpha .deb is available and working ;) Same link as always....

Thanks guys, I will answer my pm's at some point today :) I've managed to port across projectm to gles using glew-es. Was easy really just needed to add 'glRectd' to the headed which draws a rectangle. I will be testing later today. Also make a start on fishBMC. But a little more work is needed. I w...
