Re: Videostream etc over the internet

No Raspi cam, it's a Logitech HD C310 webcam. Costs $30. No additional power needed (I use a 2 amp power supply, no USB hub with USB Wifi dongle plugged in).

Compiled on the RasPi. Follow these instructions:

Re: Videostream etc over the internet

Why not just use MJPG-Streamer?

http://sourceforge.net/projects/mjpg-streamer/

Works well for me.

Re: Cosm = Xively - what do you think?

Can you still get the graphs working with Xively? I have graphs for all my feeds linked on my website and now it only posts one data point (the latest). Do I have to reformat the feeds for "Xively" or will I not be able to use it in the same way? The new website seems even less helpful than the old ...

Re: Showing webcam feeds

If you only need to view a webcam feed then you just have to load up the cam feed through a web browser like Midori, just as you would on any other computer.

The Turtle Pi - The Turtle Aquarium Monitor

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share my project with you. It's an aquarium monitor for my pet turtle's aquarium. It includes 3 sensors: two waterproof DS18B20 sensors for inside the aquarium and one AM2302 for ambient temperature and humidity. The temp/humidity data is sent to cosm.com for tracking a...

Re: Software to stream a .jpg

I think you'll find some success using mjpg-streamer: http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bobtech.ro%2Ftutoriale%2Fraspberry-pi%2F78-streaming-webcam-in-format-m-jpg-cu-raspberry-pi&act=url Although I've not set it up usi...

Re: Launch service at boot (with ability to respawn)

Hi there. I have a Python script that I want to autostart on boot up and then respawn if it stops. It's a looping temperature sensor script that reads data then uploads it to Cosm. After it successfully gathers temp and uploads it, it waits 120 seconds before doing it again. Sometimes, however, it w...

Re: Media server with Pi Player and android controll

I'd highly recommend looking at openElec running XBMC or any other iteration of Debian running XBMC. I too wanted to do the same thing as you and was looking at Squeeze plug. XBMC runs perfectly and you can access Windows SMB shares or uPNP shares perfectly. It doesn't stop at music though, XMBC can...
