I know this may sound silly but most ISP's run a firewall for you, you can usually disable them.. be 100% sure!

Here is a tutorial written for getting dynamic DNS running on raspbian.. more beginner spec:

Don't forget to forward the ports for your services on your router to your Pi's IP!!!
