Hello,
I installed the app on my phone and changed the server address to 192.168.0...

Pi not detected on network

"Pi not detected on network"

That's as far as I get. I can find it with Fing. I can verify it with ifconfig.

Got the first hurdle. It wants the URL *VERBATIM*: HTTP:// yadda.yadda

Next, "Request sent to Pi" = no response.
Got it. I have to learn to read the pins differently.

Re: Jacuzzi Automation via WiFi Using The Raspberry Pi 3

Mooneyguy, still around?

I need some help with connection and control of the valve actuators. If you're just doing it with relays (SPDT or DPDT?) and toggling them to turn the valve one way or the other, I guess I got that. But a short write-up would be awesome!

Re: Simple servo control?

@Humbug: That's the one I'm waiting for now. I should have it Tuesday.

@RDS: Do you have any links or code examples you can share?

That's awesome. I didn't even know such a think existed. Thanks.

Re: Simple servo control?

Thanks, again. So that;'s what VNC was! I had it set up and working so long ago I had forgotten. I did it to test the WiFi range of the B+ and I'm very impressed with it. Any pointers to a programmable widget that I can place on the Pi's desktop for push-button control? Honestly, I'm a hardware guy....

Re: Simple servo control?

Thanks. But... The servo controller is a HAT (? ). Dead simple, that's why I picked it. It just plugs onto the GPIO header of the Pi, and the servos just plug into the controller board. I obviously obscured my request with confusion. What I'm looking for is an equally dead simple software solution t...

Simple servo control?

Hi Folks! I have a B+ and I have a Waveshare Servo Driver HAT coming from Amazon. My goal is simply to remotely activate two servos via tablet or cell phone to switch the pool control valve over from "POOL" to "SPA". Simple enough? I haven't a clue where to start. Suggestions please? The next step w...

Mooneyguy,

Thanks ever so much for writing this up in such a helpful, detailed manner. I'm currently on the same path, and this will be very, very useful to me.

Re: Introduce yourself!

Got myself a Pi specifically for use as a media streamer and fired DirecTV. (YAY!) Almost *immediately* out of the box voided the warranty by ignorantly using someone else's settings and over-volted it. (Oops!) So far, I'm very pleased with my $35 investment. But there are so many variables and I ha...
