Re: Length of VC-1 codec key in email not correct?

I have formatted the FAT32 partition, move everything back and change config.txt in that partition to include WVC1, and its all recognized now! Thanks very much everybody, especially Dom ;) I can't help but wonder why the same setting didn't work in Raspbian... :?: But I'll think about it later. Now...

Re: Length of VC-1 codec key in email not correct?

Dom ,as you suspected, config.txt has not been modified since 17 Feb, the date I installed Raspbmc! And certainly WVC1 is not in there! I'll try to correct it... While I'm fiddling with this, would you mind explaining what would be the cause of all this? screen.png Thanks! :) Here it is! Thank you d...

Transferred config.txt via FTP to my windows laptop. Notepad shows as what it showed in nano and in raspbmc GUI, albeit without the line breaks. Really strange that vcgencmd doesn't return the code... I've tried inputting the license both in GUI and using nano in raspbmc. What's odd is that MPG2 wor...

Length of VC-1 codec key in email not correct?

Hi, I have ordered and received a VC-1 license key (#54601). I have played around with it for a few days to no avail. I have tried vcgencmd codec_enabled WVC1 but it says disabled. Tried reinstalling Raspbmc, manually configured config.txt and checked serial number, but nothing works :( Only then I ...

mrvn, your setup with a usb-hub integrated monitor is pretty neat! I'm trying to do the same now, but first I would need to get such a monitor.

Lonewolf, apart from doing it yourself, nothing is more satisfying than seeing people getting there! Keep up the good work.

My piece of Pi had just arrived in the mail room. But don't have a monitor that takes HDMI here at work, so have to wait till home! Fully excited!

Jim, it sounds good. Can you post the links? Thanks! ;) If my mum can really stand the (lack of) performance of the Pi, then I might just cable it instead of fiddling with wifi dongles.
