Re: AROS (AmigaOS API-compatible)

Not sure - It sounds like the same issue bugsy was having on the first page of this thread.

My best guess would be to try changing the Mode line in /etc/X11/xorg.conf to 640x480 or one of the standard PAL/NTSC resolutions.

Re: AROS (AmigaOS API-compatible)

Any tutorial on how to build this / get it working?

I would be happy to host an image for the masses to download if we could :) (I have access to a nice fast server with a 1Gb connection :D )

Need some help with wifi

I have a couple of "field" projects I am looking at. but need some help with my wifi config. Basically, I want the pi to create an ad-hoc network that I can connect to use ssh to control the pi from my phone - but there are a couple of caveats... 1) The ad-hoc network must only be created if my home...

Re: AROS (AmigaOS API-compatible)

I have no idea why. From my end everything works fine. Once again - what model PI are you using? What are your error messages?

Re: How to set x bit

OK - I get that.

What filesystem do I use that I can transfer files to the PI with that I can use the X bit with and use on both Windows and Raspbian then? SD space is limited.

Thanks for the quick response.

Re: AROS (AmigaOS API-compatible)

This version is pretty out of date now anyway.. trying to build latest version of AROS to run on pi, but it is failing :(

Code: Select all

./usr/share/AEROS/Extras/Office/abiword
should be the executable ;)

Re: AROS (AmigaOS API-compatible)

What model PI? My steps - this works for me 1. Create SD card with berryboot (using win 7) - start / type cmd, right click and run as administrator. Allow - type diskpart, press enter - type list disk, press enter - type select disk 3 (yours might be different), press enter - type clean, press enter...

Re: AROS (AmigaOS API-compatible)

Hi

Try this image that I extracted / converted a few days ago. In berryboot when you add an image, you have to hold down the add os button to install from usb stick.

Edit: Update boken linky ;)

Re: vlc trouble

You may have to specify a device to playback on then... try cvlc -A alsa, none --alsa-audio-device default - though I might be wrong. I don't use the command line version!

Re: vlc trouble

It seems that VLC doesn't like PulseAudio.

If you do a sudo apt-get remove pulseaudio then reboot it should work.

Keyboard issue

Hi, I'm having issues with my keyboard - as though key presses are missed or keys are held down. I know the common cause of this is power issues however in this case I think it is something else. This ONLY happens under the latest build of Raspbian - other OS are not affected (eg RiscOS, Arch etc) a...

Re: AROS (AmigaOS API-compatible)

Not sure - it worked first time for me. I will follow the process again later and see what I can do. I'm very much just playing with various OS's to see which I am most comfortable with at the moment, so no longer have berryboot on my sd.

Re: Hosting Operating System Images

How about a seedbox? 100GB space for $10/month is not uncommon and will have a decent upload speed.

Re: AROS (AmigaOS API-compatible)

Hi,

I managed to get broadway running using berryboot - the issue seems to be with the boot partition contained within the image. Just follow the instructions HERE for adding a custom OS.

Cheers
