Re: New Pi, will it work with existing raspbmc?

I just get a black screen, I've cased them now is I will have to unscrew the case. I may just go through the set up again, just to make sure, I was just wondering if this was an option?

New Pi, will it work with existing raspbmc?

Hi I bought a further two model B boards and was hoping to just take my existing SD card running Raspbmc and insert it into one of the new ones, but when I power it up, I get nothing!

Can it not work like this?

Re: Powered USB Hub

So, do you also have a mobile phone charger acting as the main power source when the USB hub is plugged in ?

Re: Help - Can't Locate External HDD

Okay so I tried the same combo but replaced the Pi with my laptop. Confirmation that the MY PASSPORT shows up immediately once plugged into the hub and I can browse the content.

I just bought a western digital external hard drive and plugged it in, did I need to do something to the drive pre-plug in?

I want to purchase a NAS drive to hold all my DVDs/TV shows/Photos etc, and access them from my TV via the Raspberry Pi using XBMC OpenElec. Will any NAS do, or are only some compatible with the Pi ? Seagate STAM2000200 2TB FreeAgent GoFlex Wireless Home NAS - the reviews on Amazon for this product are pretty bad, 31 reviews gave it a one star.

Xbmc media server

Those using the Pi to run Xbmc, where do you keep all your content? I'm looking to buy a NAS drive but unsure whether to buy a pre built like a buffalo or western digital or buy an enclosure and fill it with my own drives.

XBMC accessing files

Good day,

I have an Xbmc raspberry pi up and running but have no idea how do get any content on it.

All my movies photos and music files are currently stored on my external HDD. Can I simply plug it into the Pi ?
