Sensors for Incubator

hey I'm considering building an incubator for chicken eggs by setting up my raspberry pi with humidity/temperature sensors and then be able to turn on/off a heat lamp. But I don't know where or what kind of sensors to buy?

where could I buy a breadboard in alberta? That's a long way from home for me - maybe someone else from Ca can give you local advice? Perhaps your school or college science technician would know? Failing that, these people might be able to tell you where they get their electronic components - http:...

Re: Simple Gpio help

You say you are "in gr 11" and in Alberta. What does that mean in terms of age? We Brits aren't all familiar with your system. As to where to get a breadboard, Google is probably your friend, but I understand AdaFruit in New York is no further from you than they are from me, and the postal system w...

Re: Simple Gpio help

Can I suggest you look around for simple examples like this one - https://projects.drogon.net/raspberry-pi/gpio-examples/tux-crossing/gpio-examples-1-a-single-led/ With a 'breadboard' (not very expensive, and re-usable time after time) and some connecting jumper leads you don't even need to do any ...

Re: How do I set up a raspberry pi webserver

Your port is not open. If you think your router is set up correctly then your ISP may be blocking. Try ports in the high range like 8080 Google the name of your ISP and search port blocking to see what others are saying. k im about to try 8080 but i searched google and the only blocked ports i coul...

Re: How do I set up a raspberry pi webserver

What I would do, and I can't help you with the specifics of your router, would be to forward a port other than port 80 to port 80 on your RPi. Hackers scan for port 80 being open, and look to hack servers that people run there (I was hacked once). But if you forward a different port, they are less ...
