Re: USB 2.0 Dropped frames

We are currently dealing with post-release fallout from Pi4 as people rapidly get their hands on them. The tentative fix will end up adding another bit in the fiq_fsm_mask parameter that pipelines isochronous transfers but will require testing with hardware that demonstrates the issue. Can you emai...

Re: USB 2.0 Dropped frames

Thanks jdb for your competent replies. We are really keen to get the situation of USB Audio transfers solved, as this is impacting our customers. I can impact the frequency of audio dropouts by tinkering with the fiq parameters in cmdline.txt. Those are the current values (which seem to have the bes...

Re: USB 2.0 Dropped frames

Hi. It is to be noted that we do get small dropouts (about 3ms) without any trace in dmesg or journal. We do get them when playing DSD256 in DoP mode. Those are the logs you requested: DMESG [ 0.000000] Booting Linux on physical CPU 0x0 [ 0.000000] Linux version 4.9.65-v7+ ([email protected]) (gcc ve...

Re: Dynamic profile VCore difference between RPi3 & CM3

Hi,
let me clarify: I did the assumption that updates might be impacted by CPU throttling in early initramfs stage (if temp was high). This is just a side effect that I am investigating now, while the topic of discussion is about temperatures on CM3.

Re: Dynamic profile VCore difference between RPi3 & CM3

Hi Phil, if the results of those tests might be beneficial, there you have them: 1 - Thermal limit to 70 When booting with temp_limit=70 in config.txt, the thermal warning icon is constantly there (meaning we never go below 70), boot operation is slightly slower (as you would expect since the CPU is...

Re: Dynamic profile VCore difference between RPi3 & CM3

Thanks, PhilE for your competent replies. To reply to your questions: 1. We do not have any *_freq or *_turbo setting in config.txt We do actually have a turbo related config on cmdline, but its smsc95xx.turbo_mode=N which should not be related to the issue (and even unnecessary). For sake of comple...

Hi MrEngman, Michelangelo from volumio.org here. I am a huge fan of your work, and we use it in current Volumio releases. I understand your disappointment, I also learned it the hard way that is hard to rely on someone else's storage... If you need hosting for the modules or you need help setting up...

Re: RaspyFi Project - Audiophile source with MPD and the PI

Are you using the RC2? If yes, then you're right, analog out was not enabled while releasing it. However, with the 1.0 beta, if you don't plug any usb dac then analog out is the default setting. You can try it here: http://www.raspyfi.com/forum/giveaways-news-thoughts-from-raspyfi/raspyfi-1-0-in-bet...

Mmmm not yet... Could you please give me some link where to obtain info for the Xenomai framework?
Anyway, I'm also trying to compile a rt low latency kernel, but it's not performing so good as i was expecting... Maybe xenomai could be better! Thank you!
