Re: Pikrellcam installation issue // php5 and nginx

This might resolve your issue (it worked for me with the same error):

Code: Select all

sudo dpkg --configure -a
...and then install Pikrellcam again

Code: Select all

./install-pikrellcam.sh
again.

Re: PiKrellCam: motion vector detect + OSD web interface

In the PiKrellCam OSD, when I visit the Stills folder, all of the images are shown, but only in List View. Changing to Thumbs View still only shows a list. How can I get thumbnail images visible in the Thumbs View? It would be really useful for quickly seeing which images to download, and which to ...

Re: Thoughts on a completed ADC HAT + Advice / feedback welc

As far as i know, there aren't cheap alternatives that use the pcm peripheral. Like the poster before said, the wolfson card did the same thing but full duplex, but was £150ish. The Wolfson card is £16.50 before UK tax. https://www.element14.com/community/community/raspberry-pi/raspberry-pi-accesso...

Re: Thoughts on a completed ADC HAT + Advice / feedback welc

If the sample rate was 192 kHz it would be an ideal "replacement" for the now apparently discontinued Cirrus Logic Audio Card. With that board no longer available, the only other alternative is the older Wolfson Audio Card, which doesn't fit the latest Pi versions without some tinkering. Now if it c...

Re: New 8MP Camera - Q&A thread

I found a way to upgrade a v1.3 camera to v2.1 - wrap about 5 layers of cling film over the lens, then upscale the resulting image to 8MP.

Seriously though, is there anything being done about the focus issues with the V2.1 camera?

Take a look at this:

I had the same issue - a sound card using the GPIO, so USB was the way to go. It's not particularly cheap, but could be the solution you are looking for.

Network lights always on - with no cable connected

When I power on my Pi 2, without a network cable attached, the green and yellow lights are illuminated permanently. If I connect a network cable, no connection is made to my local network. ifconfig shows an IP address of 169.254.38.41. I have many Pis embedded in various projects since the first Pi ...

Re: Bat detector

Hi keviom, The amplitude, or intensity, of the calls can be seen in the sonogram since it is represented by the intensity of the colour. What is of interest is the peak frequency, which can easily be analysed using Audacity. Here's a Common Pipistrelle from one of my recordings, and the peak frequen...

Re: Bat detector

Hi Nick,

The external microphone is an electret type, with a high frequency response.

The software I use is a mixture of Audacity for initially extracting bat calls from the wav files, and producing sonograms, plus BatExplorer from Elekon for sonograms and analysis.

Re: Bat detector

With the release of the Wolfson audio card for the pi audio recording at 192kss is now easily do-able. I have recorded some pipistrelles in the garden with frequencies so far recorded up to around 65kHz. This is using the on-board DMIC microphones. Having the odd occasional problem of overruns on r...
