Re: Pi3B+ WiFi keeps dropping every ~10 seconds

Fortunately, during a recent storm we had several power cuts during the night which power-cycled my router (BT Smart Hub). This seems to have fixed the problem - the last two times I have tried the Pi, WiFi has been stable. It's odd that just one Pi was affected, since two others which are on 24/7 a...

Re: Pi3B+ WiFi keeps dropping every ~10 seconds

The Pi is 2m from my router for troubleshooting purposes. Its final location will be 10m to 15m away, and Ethernet cable is not an option.

I tried a 5V 2A power supply (not Raspberry Pi official) and still had the issue.

Tomorrow I will power cycle my router and see what happens.

Re: Pi3B+ WiFi keeps dropping every ~10 seconds

The Raspbian version was downloaded from this site. I did an update/upgrade to see if that would fix the problem (it didn't). The Pi is 2 metres from my router. I have other Pi's connected via WiFi that are 12 metres or more from my router without any issue. And a PiZeroW at the same distance (2m) w...

Pi3B+ WiFi keeps dropping every ~10 seconds

The WiFi on my Pi3B+ has started dropping out approximately every 10 seconds, for about 10 seconds. After 3 or 4 drop-outs, the WiFi stays dropped-out for about 40 seconds, and then comes back. It's extremely annoying. I am running the latest version of Stretch: v4.14.98+ There is nothing plugged on...

Re: Pikrellcam installation issue // php5 and nginx

This might resolve your issue (it worked for me with the same error):

Code: Select all

sudo dpkg --configure -a
...and then install Pikrellcam again

Code: Select all

./install-pikrellcam.sh
again.

In the PiKrellCam OSD, when I visit the Stills folder, all of the images are shown, but only in List View. Changing to Thumbs View still only shows a list. Re: Thoughts on a completed ADC HAT + Advice / feedback welc

As far as i know, there aren't cheap alternatives that use the pcm peripheral. Like the poster before said, the wolfson card did the same thing but full duplex, but was £150ish. The Wolfson card is £16.50 before UK tax. https://www.element14.com/community/community/raspberry-pi/raspberry-pi-accesso...

Re: Thoughts on a completed ADC HAT + Advice / feedback welc

If the sample rate was 192 kHz it would be an ideal "replacement" for the now apparently discontinued Cirrus Logic Audio Card. With that board no longer available, the only other alternative is the older Wolfson Audio Card, which doesn't fit the latest Pi versions without some tinkering. Now if it c...

Re: New 8MP Camera - Q&A thread

I found a way to upgrade a v1.3 camera to v2.1 - wrap about 5 layers of cling film over the lens, then upscale the resulting image to 8MP.

Seriously though, is there anything being done about the focus issues with the V2.1 camera?

Take a look at this:

I had the same issue - a sound card using the GPIO, so USB was the way to go. It's not particularly cheap, but could be the solution you are looking for.
