Re: Kodi, RPi3 and DVB-T

Personally, after reading your needs: "All I want is to be able to put my young daughter in front of the screen, press a desktop shortcut (which I will create when I've got it working) and have Kodi start, then simply navigate to live TV and let her watch CBeebies while I pitch the tent etc. Oh and ...

It may be simpler fror you to download the zip file from: https://github.com/paeryn/openvg/tree/screenshot Unzip it to somewhere. cd somewhere/client [email protected]:client $ make dot gcc -MT dot.o -MMD -MP -MF .d/dot.Td -std=gnu99 -Wall -Wextra -Wdouble-promotion -Wshadow -O2 -std=gnu99 -Wall -Wextra -Wdoubl...

Re: Command line Image viewer?

Hello Hermann. I don't use the usual linux grabbing tools, as they are usually unaware of openmax, & mmal, so I don't know about the virtual stuff you mention. However, you'll find that this generates good png's via ssh commands, from omxiv.bin (& others) screens: https://codeload.github.com/AndrewF...

Re: Multiple Frame buffer beta testers wanted

Thank you again for pursuing this James. Essentially, my posts so far are an attempt to answer: "What I am looking for... Any bugs or regressions, anything that works differently than before that will upset backwards compatibility" I'm quite sure your fbi example works fine, but really we're already...

"omxplayer does not play to framebuffers," Yes, I understand that. "- a frame buffer is a framebuffer. To write on fb1 it must be specifying fb1." If you think about it, prior to your new code, there was no possibility of a frame buffer on hdmi & another on DPI. My RSS display code just uses a Dispm...

I suspect many interested parties are busy with other things, hence finding it difficult to immediately download, test, note inconsistencies, post back back to the forum, important as this clearly is (p...

Re: Best way to show a YUV frame on dispmanx

Thank you both for the useful details. 6by9 version is also important to avoid overwriting of the (top of screen) menu bar. Interestingly that occurs on display 0 (hdmi) even when I output the picture just to my attached vga666 display. I've attached the huge vcdbg output for the 6by9 first run. Sub...

"it doesn't take a lot of horsepower to change an image pixel, and an RPi is quite capable of displaying HD video" Indeed it is (actually all known RPi's are of course), & in this case it's useful to use a viewer application which makes good use of one of RPi's strengths - its GPU. Attached is a few...

No, the unzipped file contents need to be pasted into the file location as per my previous post. I substituted my original amixer lines for the ones corresponding to XF86audio.
