Re: Power Pi from Motherboard USB Header

Thank you. I think i'll be safe with running a zero. I just need to make a cable that goes from the header to micro usb.

I would run it from a molex or drive power, but I need it to run with the PC off. My motherboard always supplies usb power but not molex power.

Power Pi from Motherboard USB Header

I am wondering if it would be safe and possible to power a raspberry pi from one of my motherboard USB 2.0 headers. I want to integrate a raspberry pi inside my computer case to minimize clutter and would like it if I could have the smallest amount of cables going out of the case as possible. I am p...

Make and Executable File for Terminal

Hello. I am making a school project with my pi. Is there a way to make a terminal command that you can execute with a mouse click? I want to be able to click a button on the desktop and start a python program. It needs to be ran as sudo and not have the terminal come up. If you need to know the comm...

Re: Hamachi Network on Pi

I wish I found that. The guide that I found told me commands that don't exist and had a lot of typos. It also said to download hamachi for another OS.

Re: Hamachi Network on Pi

I figured it out. I looked up a guide which turned out to be horrible so I had to troubleshoot. It told me one thing and that was to download LSD or something like that but it gave me the wrong command. Hamachi also disconnected me from my network so I had to fix that. Thank you for giving me the li...

Re: Hamachi Network on Pi

Thank you. I didn't think of looking at the beta stuffs. Now, which one do I download. I know it is the ARM processor but there are 3 different file extensions. It also says I need an ARMv4T and tun/tap driver. Can someone please tell me what those are? Sorry, I'm a Linux noob and its good to learn.

Run a good hamachi and/or Minecraft server?

Has anyone been able to run a hamachi Minecraft server? I'm talking about the actual Minecraft game. I don't want to play it on the pi, just run the server. If someone has, was it a good server that could hold less than 5 people without a problem? I can't have less than 20 fps on the server.

Re: Windows 7 will randomly reboot and wont shut down

It doesn't like that you were designing something for your raspberry pi. It sees itself as getting thrown out and being replaced by a piece of dessert. (That is only in a computers point of view and not mine. I have nothing against the pi. )

GPIO Code From Raspberry Pi User Guide Help *Solved*

I got my pi for Christmas and I downloaded the Raspberry Pi User Guide because it was written by one of the makers of the pi (Gareth Halfacree and Eben Upton) and it looked promising. I just got into GPIO stuff with my Ada Fruit Prototyping Plate. My problem is that the code example that he gave me ...

I got a book for it which is nice but a problem that I have been having is if I have my keyboard and usb hup plugged into it, it will not power on. I have to ...
