Yeah this pull requests need some time. I think the XBMC team will release a bug fix frodo release before adding new features.relyt wrote:XBMC commit is on hold, Stasik0 last seen month ago. It would be a great pity to see this project dead.

Re: Boblight possible?
Hi VZoltan, which Kernel Version do you use (uname -a)? I tried to run the ws2801 strips via a usb connected arduino but got still flickering. It seems that there is something wrong with my compiled binary. Do you tried to drive boblightd with a connected xbmc from another pc? I only got flickering...

Re: Boblight possible?

I think it must have s...

Re: Boblight possible?
Hi, anyone using boblightd on raspbian with the spidev device? I've got flickering when using boblightd with spidev. I think i may have the wrong interval/baud rate in my boblight config. I'm using a ws2801 led strand with 50 lights (150 channels) Is anyone experience the same problem? Here is my bo...

Re: Boblight possible?
As long as the lights are driven by boblightd, it should work! Maybe you are running in a performance problem....

Re: Boblight possible?
@Stasik0 are you going to talk to gimli/memphiz? Are you also interested in getting the modified player to work in xbmc? Thank you for pointing out the line for enabling boblight (thats something i could find out my self, if i had thought about it more than one second -.- ;) ). I already try to comp...

Re: Boblight possible?
Ok now i got some other errors... i think it's better to get the source and just install the new version of the omxplayer... pi@raspberrypi ~ $ ./omxplayer.bin /home/pi/Test\ Video.mov -b ./omxplayer.bin: relocation error: /usr/lib/omxplayer/libavformat.so.54: symbol av_realloc_f, version LIBAVUTIL_...

Re: RaspiLight (ambient light)
If you would like to run boblightd and a boblight client on the raspberry then you should have a look at this thread:
http://raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 66#p251866
Stasik0 is trying to modify the omxplayer so that he is wokring with boblightd.

Re: Boblight possible?
Hi, i had to set up raspbian and compile boblightd... So finally i tried to start omxplayer. And here is the first error: pi@raspberrypi /usr/local/lib $ ./omxplayer /home/pi/Test\ Video.mov -b file : /home/pi/Test Video.mov result 43 format mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2 audio streams 1 video streams 1 ch...

Re: Boblight possible?
It nearly clarifies your approach. Are you sure that your modified omxplayer will work with the boblight client plugin? Sadly i have no idea whats going on in this sourcecode. The only thing i know is, that memphiz needs an implementation for the CRenderCapture method. Maybe you could contact him? I...

Re: Boblight possible?
Hi Stasik0, maybe you should have a look at xbmc.org. It's a full blown media center which has the ability to install add ons. It is also available as a bundle with an linux distro (openelec.tv). OpenELEC is able to run on the raspberry pi (http://wiki.openelec.tv/index.php?title=Installing_OpenELEC...
