Re: Rasperry Pi as a bluetooth print server

Did anyone ever make this project work? I tried it myself recently, but I'm kinda stuck My Android-phone was able to connect/pair to the Pi via BT, but I got an error msg saying "no available services". My iPhone couldn't connect at all. I am using Pi 2 with an old BT dongle, so that may cause some ...

NEW Diskmanager

The good old DiskManager have been updated and renamed, and is now out in V1.0 as DiskImager.
It has a very useful feature now: "Read Only Allocated Partitions".
No more over-sized images filled with nothing.

Can't remember which file to edit.

I copied one partition to another SD-card, and now the Pi won't boot.

I have fixed this before by editing some config-file, where mmcblk0p6 was changed to mmcblk0p2 (or something), so the Pi would find the right boot device.

The problem now is that I can't remember which file to edit.

Anyone?

Software for blogging?

Is there any lightweight software out there for setting up a blog on a Pi?
I tried FlatPress, but it was too outdated to work with newer PHP, but I liked the database-less feature.
This blog is meant to run on a single Pi, so it would be nice to have something that's not too heavy.

Any suggestions?

Re: KeDei 3.5 inch SPI TFT LCD (version 6.1)

I also get the "Waiting for root device /dev/mmcblk0p2" error.
It may be way off, but I noticed that the file /dev/mmcblk0p2 is missing from the installation that produces this error.

Tip: A very local WiFi mediaserver

The problem: To watch a lot of movies in the car when there's no WiFi, and without using 3G/4G. The tablet is an old iPad 2 with only 16 GB of storage. The solution: Using RPi as a stand-alone wireless access-point with built-in media-server and a large USB-storage. I combined these 2 guides go get ...

Convert NOOBS to "normal"?

I made the big mistake of starting out with a NOOBS installation, which I have set up with lotsa things and functions. The problem is that Rpi-Clone is not working with NOOBS. It's not able to make a working clone. I tested a normal Raspian installation, which cloned perfect. So...is there any way o...

Re: R Pi 2 Ethernet Port not working

Just got 2 RPi 2 today, and neither had working LAN ports. Tried some ifdown/ifup without result. Then I googled around a bit and read that it could be cable related, although I used the same cable which had worked with 2 models of RPi 1. So I connected another cable, and the LAN port started to wor...

Keybd/mouse doesn't work when KODI autostarts

I edited /etc/default/kodi and set ENABLED=1 to make KODI start at boot. But now the keyboard and mouse doesn't work. Remote controlling by Kodi remote app on the phone doesn't work either. I had to revert the setting to ENABLED=0 by inserting the card in a Ubuntu machine, as there were no way I cou...

RaspBMC with Plex addon?

Is it possible to install Plex addon into RaspBMC?
I found some info on installing Plex into PlexBMC, but I cannot figure out how to do it with RaspBMC.

The goal is to have the Pi auto-connect to the Plex server at startup. Kinda like AppleTV and iTunes does.

Re: Personal Cloud Designed to Run on Raspberry Pi

Nimbus was exactly what I was looking for.
Easy to setup, and not too many features that I don't use anyway.
I love it.
Except...it doesn't seem to have support for Nordic chars in the filenames.
Or maybe I just need to do some configurations?

Re: Clone the SD-card to a smaller card?

sudo rsync -arv sdb sdd
...seems to be the wrong syntax.
rsync: link_stat "/home/username/sdb" failed: No such file or directory (2)

And I should also like the old files to be overwritten on the destination card.

Re: Clone the SD-card to a smaller card?

I have 2 card-readers on the Ubuntu-machine.
The destination card is the smaller card, which contains an old setup for the RPi.
As this card is already partitioned: Can I copy (and replace) all files recursively from source to destination without spending the whole night typing commands?
