Okay, got that. Is there a library that I can use that works in a similar way for Python or C? I have it working now. I must have gone wrong somewhere in the config because when I uninstalled Apache and PHP then reinstalled them it started to work well.

Sorry. I made a mistake.

I thought there was a space between ~/ and .bashrc. You probably assumed I'd do this but I also had to do a reboot.
