Re: Raspberry web server

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install lighttpd && sudo apt-get clean && sudo chmod 777 /var/www This hurts so much. You don't set the rights of data to 777 without having a very, very, very good reason to do so. I'd suggest reading about the basics of the GNU/Linux operating system. If you do...

Re: Raspberry web server

You might want to not do that and instead just install lighttpd. This will give you a web server (no PHP, but I can give you very easy instructions if you want PHP) If you choose to do this, do the following: sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install lighttpd && sudo apt-get clean && sudo chmod 7...

It simply opens a window saying the installation failed. :? So that's why I copied the OS onto the micro sd card through the terminal. I also tri...

Re: RCA video output

Well, I use a 8 gig sony Micro SD card with an SD card adapter.

Normally it "should" work.

I put Rasbian onto the micro sd by using the command line:

" sudo dd bs=4M if= imagefile.iso"

I know I'm supposed to wait for 5-10 minutes on the first boot...
