Re: Raspi verliert SSH-Verbindung

Raspberry + Ubuntu + Java 9

Did anybody manage to install Oracle JDK 9 _*NINE!*_ ?

Yesterday I did not even find a place to download it.

Any hints are welcome!

Re: How To Video: Get decent audio from a Pi Zero with PWM

Hi, thank you very much for sharing this. The possibility to remap the PWM output to accessible GPIO pins was completely new to me and opens up a lot of simple audio applications for the Pi Zero (talking clock etc.). In the video you put some emphasis on the fact that the output capacitors should be...

Re: Detect a specific Frequency from microphone input signal

I remember doing FFTs on computers that were much slower than the RPi. I recommend the book "Numerical Recipes" https://www.amazon.de/Numerical-Recipes-Source-Code-CD-ROM/dp/0521884071/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1492025906&sr=8-2&keywords=numerical+recipes since it first presents the math and then how t...

Just built: Worst sound card in the world

Hi there, I just built myself the worst sound card in the world. It consists of a socketed MCP 48x1 DAC chip (8, 10, 12 bits respectively), a passive low pass filter, an OpAmp and a headphone jack. In fact I can play music not just recognizable but fairly enjoyable with it when using the 12 bit chip...

Re: How Can I Determine the Signal Strength of a Wireless Co

I understand your question that you do not only want to know the quality of an established connection but a survey of the available networks.

Try

Code: Select all

 sudo iwlist wlan0 scan | egrep "Cell|ESSID|Signal|Rates"
Exchange wlan0 with the interface you want to use.

Re: Install Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers on Raspberry

I would like to see eclipse mars too, because the currently available version of eclipse is 3.8.x and that can not support Java 8, even if such a jvm/jdk is installed, be it openjdk or Oracle.

I want lambdas!

Re: RPi 3 CPU integration documentation

I second these questions.

It seems that neither for RPI 1,2 or 3 is there any documentation about what options (in cache sizes for example) in configuring the ARM cores Broadcom did actually choose when building their SoC.

Any hints are welcome!

Re: Static IP address - clumsy or buggy?

Wolfram, I will not pretend to fully understand the concert of daemon programs that together make network configuration work on Raspian (or Debian for that matter). Generally I follow two methods to configure networking on a Pi. The first (and easier) method is to use the GUI to configure network co...

Hi there, recently I bricked an atmega328p microcontroller because of an error in the old avrdude version 5.x that comes with raspbian. This error was long fixed in the current avrdude 6.x. The avr assembler avra that comes with raspbian could be updated too so that it would support more newer contr...

Re: Cluster (Bramble...) Design Discussion (Advanced)

Ultimately the wired ethernet passes through USB 2.0 so this bottleneck is the same for both options. And 4 (or more) WLAN-Devices would have to time-share the "air". Additionally you suggest another router that would serialize all traffic plus adding additional overhead over mere switching. I do no...

In the beginning I used a USB-Hub to distribute the power but that gave my too many cables in the box a...
