PyGTK

I have been seeing some tutorials around about how to use pyGTK, and downloaded the code for something that uses pyGTK, and i get some errors.

Is this because i need to install it, or configure it?, if you need to install it, can you give me instructions on how to do so.

Re: Minecraft Pi edition

The ChMod command worked for me, but i can't seem to get the console to open
1) is it because i need the pi connected to the network?
2) and will the console open as a new window (How does it open?)

Re: Minecraft Pi edition

The Only reason i posted that is because i got a permission denied error when i tried to run the file, with the instructions included with the file. I ran into the same issue. I used this tutorial to learn to change permissions: http://catcode.com/teachmod/index.html I opened LXTerminal and navigat...

Re: USB SD Card Readers and the Rasp Pi

Couldn't you solder on a whole new sd card slot and holder to the connections on the board?

Re: USB SD Card Readers and the Rasp Pi

You need access to the SD card slot on the pi to be able to do anything, you can then edit the boot file on the SD card to run the OS from a USB, but the SD card will always have to be in for it to work.

Overall, you're probably better off getting a whole new pi

Re: Raspi not reading the SD -card

If that doesn't work, reformat to Fat32 and copy the files for BerryBoot over, and then that allows you to install from .img, or it can automatically download the file. It also has support for multiple operating systems.

I haven't tried that, but i haven't got a USB hub, and is there a way to bypass the permissions?

Re: A word on preloaded SD cards

That's why people should only sell the newest versions, they're making money out of open-source software that is made free by the authors, and not giving anything to the authors, just keeping the money for themselves.

Re: Minecraft Pi edition

It would be cool if this did come out, there would be lots of possibilities, but then you'd get people that made some code to build a giant mansion and crash their Pi.
