7inch screen

Hey guys,

Last october Eben Upton announced that the 7inch touchscreen was coming for the Pi. Any updates on that?

Would really like to get my hands on one of those...

Digital IR sensor

Hey Guys, I've been googling all afternoon, but no luck yet. For a project I want to measure (and log) the infrared (IR) intensity of my surroundings. For this I need a: * IR sensor * A/D converter of some sort Now, I've been playing around with a simple IR phototransistor, hooked up to a normal tra...

Re: Portable Power Solutions

I've integrated the PI into several products/concepts. None (!) of those close the PI down properly. They all just let the battery die or disconnect the power supply. I have never had one corrupt SD card. Thats why I don't bother anymore closing down the PI properly. I just disconnect. I consistentl...

Re: Portable Power Solutions

Hi all, I've used several RasPi's in a 12V mobile system. With bluetooth dongle connected and 3G modem (for SMS) they are drawing 310 mA average at 12V I'm using a standard (cheap) LM2596 DC stepdown switching regulator to go to 5V. I've run this setup on this battery: http://dx.com/p/12v-9800mah-re...

Re: usb_modeswitch

Hmm, okay, thanks! Didn't know that. This would explain the behaviour. Any ideas on why the USB devices become unresponsive?

cheers

Re: usb_modeswitch

Hi everyone, I'm trying to run the code that was helpful for Jodel. This would be a very helpful piece of code for me as wel. Problem is that as soon I run the program I am kicked out of the SSH session and it seems as though the USB devices won't restart properly either. I know for sure the Pi is s...

Re: How to peed up boot time if run headless?

Bump. Interested in hearing more about this.

Does anyone know of any other services we can scrap from the boot sequence? I only need to run a simple python script on a headless pi.

Cheers.

Deep Crash logging (tools)

Hi all, I'm new to the forum, but not new to the RasPi. Over the last few months I've been trying to build a bluetooth scanner, that is able to send an SMS as soon as a certain bluetooth device is detected. So far so good. No problem with the code. All seems to be working flawlessly. Except for one ...
