I'd love to fit it into a keyboard, along with an portable HDD.

I think Minecraft is, surprisingly, much too demanding for the Raspi. It has issues running even on some normal-powered computers, such as my laptop.

I frequently visit a forum for an online game and the trolling there is so over-the-top this place is like a church communion in comparison.

By "Quake 3", do you mean Quake 3 on highest available resolution/settings or simply that it can handle the game in general?
