What the Pi has done for me-University

Several months ago I posted on the forum to highlight what the Raspberry Pi had done for me, in terms of my education. I explained how the Raspberry Pi had confirmed my enthusiasm of both computing and technology, and had also focused my future plans. Since then I have applied to study computer scie...

Re: Not bad for my first time

I appreciate that. I was originally thinking about using LED's, and I have seen an LED snake game that can be made (which uses a controller).

I am just consered that I am not 100 percent sure which pins do what, and that I may accidently damage the plate and the Raspberry Pi.

Not bad for my first time

At the age of 17 I feel quite ashamed that I have never soldered any electronics. So to overcome this I purchased the Pi plate from adafruit, and a soldering kit. Everything arrived by the end of last week, and I eventually had my chance to put the Pi plate together yesterday. I set the iron up and ...

Re: WinDD problems

Hi,

I had the same problem, I"d suggest using win32 disk imager instead. It has a easy to use UI and it will automatically find your SD card/memory stick and let you choose your image, just click write once it"s chosen.

Hope this helps.

@Kernel

This is my exact plan. I want to take a computer science (or equivalent) course as an AS level next year. However I dont think this course was available this year, so I may have to do a lot of pausading.

<r>Hi there,

I would recommend the Kingston 8GB SD card from amazon, it"s only £3.84 and has free P+P. This is the same card I have, and as I have a raspberry Pi I can confirm that it works.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingst...
