Hi all - I got the program working. I am using the new Pi board and the i2c device should be i2c-1. Thanks to Frank Buss for this. A bit new to this, so I am a bit rough around the edges.

I totally agree. I to have been in computers since I was 20 years of age, I am now 60, and thought "I'll have a piece of that Pi action" but everything I try has had a stumbling block. As a example (1) - What's so big about Cross Compiling on a Windows platform? I can Cross compile for Atmel ATmega...

My first computer was a National Semiconductors "Scamp" kit. This had a single CPU, 1K of EEprom and 64 bytes of ram. This was 1973. Microcontrollers were is short supply. Rev2 with I2C devices

Hi All - I am a complete newbie so this question may be a no brainer to you guys. I have a REV2 Pi and when I issue the command i2cdetect -y 1 , I get a reply that I have 2x I2C devices on the bus at 20 & 21. Both are PCA9555 devices. I have a 'scope connected to SDA & SCL and I see activity on both...
