Re: ModMyPi Mk.2 USB Hub, 2.5'' HDD, Patch Bay, On/Off - Ide

Any news? This has been going on for over a year now.

I need a new USB hub (mine is playing up) and one of these would save me buying a new one.

Unable to install newer version of curl/libcurl3

I have a user that's using curl (curlftpfs) to locally mount a USB hard drive that's being served by his Netgear WNDR4000 router. When attempting to connect the FTP path he gets this error; "Error connecting to ftp: Got a 230 ftp-server response when a 220 was expected". Now when he tries this with ...

Maybe he's waiting till the 14th of Jan to announce it. Then it'll be a full year since the beginning of this thread.

I'm still interested but time-to-market is everything. I suspect a lot of the potential buyers for this have done something else now.

Correct me if i'm wrong but i don't believe the hard drive is 'enclosed'. I believe it's an additional bracket that clips to the bottom of this case.

Thanks for the feedback and an understandable decision on both fronts (power and hdd mount). I'm still well up for buying one.

Not a massive fan of the little HDD bracket underneath the larger enclosure up top. I'd rather a surround to the bracket to build it out to the same dimensions as the top unit so it was all the same dimension just twice as thick/tall if you have the HDD 'slice' installed. Other than that it looks go...

Re: Get RaspberryPi display on iMac

Easiest way I know of is to install xrdp on the Pi and use Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection client to connect to it. No messing around with configs.

Re: First images using a Nikon lens

Got any pics of this Pi/Nikon Frankenstein-lens?

Turning out some good pics and the massive zoom may be handy for lots of applications.

I've a spare Tamron 70-300 here, I wonder if I could use that.

You do know that apt-get upgrade is known to break Raspbmc and this has been brought up previously on their forums.

It's not ready yet but this thread http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewt ... 7&start=25 sounds like it'll do what you want.

Try turning off the overclock and see if the turning off stops.

Could be anything from clustered computing to hosting a different service (website, FTP, etc.) on each one. Even something like a classroom environment where each student SSHes to a different Pi.

Re: Public ip

You probably need to find your external IP address from your router and then port forward the relevant ports from your external address through to the Pi on it's internal address.

Re: XBMC

Do you just want XBMC or do you still want to retain a multi-purpose OS? A lot of people install Raspbmc, OpenELEC or Xbian for a ready to use XBMC install.

If you still wanted a fully functional Raspbrian install these won't be ideal for you though.
