I'm not seeing any results here, using the following code:

clear > /dev/tty1
omxplayer -o local movie.mp4
is this supposed to clear the entire display ... or just the terminal window?

chris, thanks a million, using Fuse on OSX did the trick. i was able to boot the drive and remove the script and login to the guy again. phew. was really concerned about having to wipe the drive and start from scratch again. i think that my expectations were wrong about running a startup script by p...

Disable script at boot time

Howdy, I just setup my rpi to run a shell script at startup by entering the following into the terminal sudo update-rc.d loopvideo.sh defaults Now, the script runs fine and dandy every time I boot up the unit, but I can no longer log into the os. The script, by the way, launches a process that loops...
